The title of this research was the state of mental health of the main character in the novel Every Day by David Levithan. To find out the mental issue of the main character and how to understand a particular mental issue specifically in the novel Everyday by David Levithan.

This condition can impact the lifestyle, social skills and daily activities of those affected. Qualitative research was also described as a model that unfolds in a natural environment and allows the writer to develop a level of detail from a high degree of engagement with reality. This study used primary data from David Levithan's novel Every Day. Novel Every Day was published on August 28, 2012 by David Levithan and the publisher was Knopf Books for young readers and the genre was fantasy fiction and romance, and the secondary data was collected by the interviewer.

Starting with reviewing and collecting all the data from David Levithan's novel Every Day. Identify the words or phrases that contain the type of mental found in David Levithan's novel Every Day. Highlighting the words or sentences containing the type of mental that was issued and specifically understanding the specific mental conditions and then determining the pattern of consciousness and the state of id, ego and superego in David Levithan's novel Every Day using the Sigmund Freud theory.

The data analysis method aims to compile the data in a meaningful way and that it can be understood, the author would use study document and analytical method was used to analyze the condition of the main character in the novel Every Day by David Levithan to analyze. Second, grasp the specific mental states specifically and then determine the pattern of consciousness and the state of id, ego and superego in the novel Every Day by David Levithan using Sigmund Freud theory and the last step was to analyze the results of conclude the data analysis and formulate proposal for further author.

This sentence suggested a delusion because the said main character resonates in my mind based on behavior. In the data sentence, the main character mentions that I am someone else, the sentence indicated DID because there was a disturbance. The mind of the main character is explained in the data. I could feel my mind fighting with my body.

The sentence showed how much the main character presented of many religious, many services. Based on the sentence, the main character showed the personality of a twin of James, I am his twin who had an appearance just like James but with a different habit. In the sentence, the main character had a new personality named Surita, she lived with 90-year-old grandmother who did not care.

In the sentence, the main character felt that it is not really bad, my self is not completely bad, although being a bad person would be done. In the data, the main character felt inexplicable pain because he did not fulfill his love that he wanted for Riannon, but I am not clear. In the sentence the main character said that you can be anyone describing himself can be anyone when he runs it was a form of ego consciousness.

In the sense, everything I do could break something, the main character tried to keep quiet, because when he speaks or moves.

Based on the data produced by the writer and psychologist, Muhammad Risal, S.Psi concluded that the main character in the novel has an indicator of Dissociative Identity Disorder. Based on the table, the writer concluded that the main character has depression, data 30 was identified: According to the line that the main character has a mental illness such as depression, depressed people show special psychological and physical features. CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION

Conclusion

In this study author focuses only on the investigation of the mental health disorder by using DSM-5 to determine the dissociative disorder of the main character, and with the theory of Sigmund freud id, ego and superego. It is hoped that this research will have a beneficial impact on both the academic field and society in general. Author suggests that people should realize that it is important to understand mental illness, especially dissociative identity disorder, from the media as novels because there are still people out there who think of mental illness as a joke or even question its existence or not.

The author realizes that this research is still far from expectation ideal, and the author hopes that additional author could fill this void and increase the research, because it can contribute to the progress of science, especially the psychology of literature, of course, the author hopes that this research will help to support or complement the work of other academics studying relevant subjects. The weakness of this research, the author focused on investigating the main character's mental health issues and the level of awareness of id, ego and superego, in this novel the main character has a lot of personality, therefore other researchers could research the limited of the personality that is also included in the theory of literary psychology.
