INTRODUCTIONThe metamorphic in this monochrome song shows the songwriter's emotional feeling towards something that touches his heart and is experienced in his real life (Gao, Z. 2015).
Regarding how Tulus expresses ideas, thoughts, or feelings through his works, Muhammad Tulus Rusydi or better known as Tulus as a songwriter from the Monochrome series is an outgoing, simple, and polite person.
The word "language" in Indonesian has two meanings. Informal education in secondary schools, when asked what is the meaning of language, generally the answer is
"language is a method of communication".
About conversational procedures, a speaker needs to have some vocabulary that can be divided into two businesses. First, is energetic vocabulary, which is the vocabulary he uses to talk with his interlocutor. second, this passive vocabulary is stored in his mind to understand what the other person is saying. Likewise, a language user must also have the ability to combine vocabulary with other vocabulary or with other meaningful elements, including bound morphemes, conjunctions, or prepositions if he wants to produce grammatical speech.
Furthermore, a speaker must be able to communicate these linguistic forms for various communique wishes, for example asking, promising, accusing, expressing emotions or
thoughts, and so on (Rosenberg, & Chopra, 2015).
If language talent includes both receptive and productive competencies, he must also have an understanding of all the aspects that make up his speech, including how to articulate and how to understand it.
Lyrics are short poems whose emotions fluctuate (Welsh, A. 2019). Lyrics or poetry is a literary painting whose direction is to use literary language in it. As a literary work, song lyrics also have a unique language. It is not strict with the rules of the language. To make the lyrics of music smooth to understand and pay attention to, songwriters sometimes use metaphors in their song lyrics. Metaphors in song lyrics are used by songwriters to evaluate or search for implied relationships.
Metaphor is the use of words, not the real meaning, but as a painting based entirely on similarities or comparisons. Metaphor is a kind of comparative figure of speech that is the shortest, densest, and neatly arranged.
Semantics is the department of technology that examines how meaning is based in language.
Semantic research reveals internally, as well as a study (Saxe, et all, 2019) .
The semantic study is meaning that is free from context. Semantics examines specific symbols or signs, meaning relationships with each other, and their influence on humans and society. Semantics

consists of phrases, their enhancements and modifications. Semantics examines and considers the meaning of phrases and the meanings people get from phrases (Harispe, et all 2015).METHODS
The problem of this research is the lyrics of Tulus' music in his album entitled Monochrome. The object of this research includes the metaphor of the lyrics of the song Tulus in his album entitled Monokrom (Dewirsyah, A. R. 2018). In this study, the statistical collection was completed using an unbounded communication approach and information retrieval technique. The statement method is used to extract facts from information sources. Information received by immortalized through recording. the use of a note-taking strategy is used as a tool to re- check the truth of the statistics that have been heard (Mansouri,et all 2020). After listening, the researcher saved the recording contained in the lyrics of the song Tulus in the Monochrome album. Recording facts aims to facilitate researchers in reviewing the information to be analyzed.
FINDINGS Results
The final result of this research is segment analysis achieved by using the lyrics of famous music with the help of Tulus entitled
"MONOKROM" which was written by Tulus as the corpus. The various expressions of
meaning in the lyrics of the song Tulus in the Monochrome album are:
First verse
Black and white photo sheets I'm trying to remember again
The colour of your clothes at that time First time in my life
Another human hugs me
Second stanza
Black and white photo sheets I'm trying to remember again
The smell of the house that afternoon Chocolate cake, colorful balloons My birthday party
Third stanza Wherever you are I send thank you For the color in my life And lots of beautiful memories You paint me
Fourth stanza
Black and white photo sheets
Back to remembering the night, I counted the stars
When my eyes have trouble sleeping your voice makes me sleepy
Wherever you are I send thank you For colour in my life And lots of good memories You paint me
We never know
434
How long are we given timeIf I go first, don't forget me
This is a song for you, my expression of gratitude
Monochrome black and white sheets
I try to remember colour after colour of my life I won't know love if it's not your kind heart
What special moments have happened in your life? Whatever moment you've been through, as long as it's with your loved ones, it will be a special and most beautiful memory, right? For example, moments of birthday celebrations, graduations, weddings, holidays with family, and much more. Recalling the beautiful memories that you went through with loved ones can certainly cause a sense of happiness.
It would be more beautiful if the memories are depicted in a photo that we can see at any time. As expressed by Tulus in the lyrics of the song Monochrome. At the press conference for the release of the Monochrome album, explaining the meaning of monochrome photos is not just black and white. For him, the photo seemed more poetic than colour photos because he had to remember more about what skin colour, clothes colour, and what the figure in the photo looked like. And for Tulus, it was
very impressive. The moment that Tulus recounted in this memory was his birthday celebration party. This is described in the lyric,
"Black and white photo sheets. I'm trying to remember the smell of home that afternoon.
Colourful balloon chocolate cake. My birthday party." Not only that, through the lyrics of the song Monochrome, Tulus also wants to express his gratitude for the beautiful memories that have occurred so far. In the following lyric, "Wherever you are, I send thanks. For the colours in my life and the many beautiful memories. You paint me,"
Tulus wants to express his gratitude to those who have contributed to his life and career so far ( Missbach, A. 2017).
DISCUSSION
From this research, it is hoped that it can be accepted and carried out by the wider community so that everyone can understand the forms of metaphorical expressions and the meanings contained in them. That is, each interpretation offers a diffusion of metaphorical interpretations in song lyrics because, in this phase, humans will recognize how to interpret the metaphor.
CONCLUSION
The sentences from the evaluation of this metamorphosis are certainly very useful for jazz listeners and connoisseurs to imagine and produce the meaning, message, and essence of a tone as a form of work by the nation's
children. especially the song Tulus which is the work of a local son, especially the song
"monochrome". After we see its meaning it is analyzed seriously to achieve its message and essence. Amorphic evaluation that has shown a person's picture that has coloured his life
