2020."The use of Instagram to improve students' writing skills in descriptive text (a pre-experimental study in the tenth grade of SMAN 2 WAJO in the academic year. The aim of this research was to determine whether the use of instagram can improve students' "writing skills in descriptive text. The data result showed , that the average score of the students after the test (79.36) was higher than the average score before the test (66.84).

Oleh karena itu H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan Instagram dalam proses pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks deskriptif siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan Instagram dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks deskriptif siswa. Hasil data menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai siswa dari post-test adalah (79,36), lebih besar dari rata-rata nilai dari pre-test (66,84).

In addition, Sholihah (2016) difficulties in writing descriptive text originate from generic structure and also linguistic features. To find out, the use of Instagram can improve students' descriptive writing skills.” Suraya (2011) in his thesis, “Using Web Search as a Medium to Improve Students' Descriptive Writing Skills”.

In this case, the researcher will describe the student's descriptive text writing skill based on the results of the writing test (Husna, 2013). In this phase, the researcher gave a brief explanation to the students about the descriptive text material. Then the researcher gave the students a pre-test to write a descriptive text on paper based on their feeling towards her parents (mother/father).

Null hypothesis (Ho): „“There is no significant difference between the students' ability to write descriptive text before and after treatment through instagram. Alternative Hypothesis (H1): „“There is a significant difference between the students' writing ability in writing descriptive text before and after treatment using instagram.

The students had to write 2 paragraphs in the pre-test and 2 paragraphs in the post-test. The analysis was used to discover the significant difference in the students' writing skills before and after using Instagram as a medium. The findings of this study are about the classification of students' pre-test and post-test.

Meanwhile, some of the students had poor ability and only a very small percentage were good at writing. Therefore, using instagram to improve students' writing ability, especially in descriptive text, is very beneficial and effective. This means that in the tenth grade of 2019/2020 there was improvement in the use of instagram to improve writing skills of students in descriptive text.

Therefore, before the treatment, the tenth grade students in SMAN 2 Wajo had reasonable writing skills, especially in descriptive text. Zidny (2007) also said that the use of Instagram in the teaching and learning process significantly improved students' writing skills. In addition, the improvement in students' mean scores for pretest and posttest was 18.73%.

Based on the research above, the use of Instagram to improve students' writing skills in descriptive text had significant effect for the teaching and learning process. Purwandari (20017) also told that the use of photographs on instagram in teaching descriptive text to improve students' writing skills. This chapter presents the conclusions and suggestions of the research on the impact of using Instagram to improve students' writing skills in descriptive text.

This was evidenced by the students' average score improvement from pre-test to post-test. In other words, the use of instagram can improve students' writing skills in descriptive text. An analysis of student writing skills in descriptive text of the second year students at SMPN 2 Bangun Purba.

FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION

Discussion

In this section, the discussion was addressed with the interpretation of the findings related to the use of Instagram to improve students' writing skills in descriptive text in the tenth grade of SMAN 2 Wajo. In other words, using Instagram can improve students' writing skills, especially in descriptive text. Therefore, the result of this research also showed that the use of instagram can improve students' writing especially in descriptive text that focuses on five aspects of writing, they are content, grammar, structure, vocabulary and mechanics.

In other words, the use of Instagram can improve students' writing skills in descriptive text in the tenth grade in the academic year 2019/2020. Instead of writing descriptive text or narrative essays, students can share the results of their stories through pictures. Based on the research findings and discussion, it can be concluded that the use of Instagram can improve students' writing skills, especially in writing descriptive text in tenth grade in SMAN 2 WAJO.

It is recommended for English teachers to use the Instagram application as a method because it offers variations in the implementation of materials to release students' boredom in learning to write, especially descriptive text. The effectiveness of using Instagram's photo content on students' descriptive writing ability in the first grade of SMKN 1 BOYOLANGU. Use Instagram to motivate students' writing of descriptive text in the second grade in SMAN 1 Gresik Academic Year 2016-2017.

Suggestion

Menerapkan model desain dalam Pengajaran Menulis melalui Strategi Refleksi untuk Siswa EFL Indonesia Diakses tanggal 4 Juni 2019. Mampu menulis teks deskriptif dengan memperhatikan fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan yang sesuai dengan konteks. Mampu menulis teks deskriptif dengan memperhatikan fungsi sosial, struktur teks dan unsur kebahasaan yang relevan dengan menggunakan aplikasi Instagram.

Siswa dimotivasi atau didorong untuk menarik perhatian pada materi teks deskriptif dengan memperkenalkan tokoh-tokoh terkenal (seniman, ilmuwan, pahlawan, dan lain-lain). Mengajukan pertanyaan - Guru memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk mengidentifikasi sebanyak mungkin pertanyaan yang berkaitan dengan teks deskriptif (misalnya kosakata yang sulit, pengucapan, dll.) Berkomunikasi - Memotivasi siswa untuk mengembangkan diri dengan membaca atau mencari informasi tambahan setelah pulang ke rumah.

Siswa mengungkapkan hal-hal yang sulit dan mudah dilakukan berkaitan dengan materi teks deskriptif menggunakan Instagram KESIMPULAN (10 menit). Siswa mengidentifikasi fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan ciri kebahasaan dalam teks deskriptif yang diberikan. Eksperimen - Secara berpasangan, guru meminta siswa menulis teks deskriptif yang menggambarkan ciri-ciri fisik dan karakter pasangannya.
