BREAKTHROUGH IN WET CORN STORAGE – The farmer no longer has to worry about the outside temperature when combining his corn, thanks to a new high moisture corn storage facility that will condition corn at low temperatures. And with lactose in the ration, animals take in and use more calcium, phosphorus and magnesium.

In his search for ways to cut costs, this Future Farmer decided to build labor-saving equipment into his farm shop. Alabama, National Star Farm Mechanic, learned early that he was the kind of fellow who. The completed loader not only showcased his vo-ag shop skills, but showed that he had made the right decision.
It wasn't long before Michael became a full partner with his father, giving him access to all the farm machinery and 1,150 acres of land. Mechanical skill and good shop profit when it comes Michael built an automatic hay loader, a horse trailer, a new equipment for the production and maintenance of agricultural machinery. I figured it was cheaper to do my own repairs since we live a long way from town.
Then, too, one can't help but notice the beautiful knotty pine gun cabinet he built for his gun collection. Michael Reynolds, Fi+zpa+rick, Alabama, was named the winner of the 1964 National FFAFoundation Farm Mechanics Award, as well as Star State Farmer.

AUDUBON Chapter, IOWA, has long recognized FFA as one of the outstanding chapters in the country. ChapterservicesAudubonared- signed to give alert, ambitious youth to "go." More often than not, "money" is the fuel needed to ignite these ambitions. For this reason, the members of the chapter, with the help of adviser James Hamilton, have developed two programs to meet the money". It is no coincidence that the two programs have become a very important part of the overall credit and management training program. money for Audubon vo-ag students.
The unique part of the program is this: Applications can be made for either a scholarship to attend an agricultural college or 30. Wise use of credit Professional farm managers recognize the importance of the proper amount and use of farm credit. Advisor Hamilton points to one of the less obvious benefits of the association." Many of the Future Farmers.

Are you seeing the person you think you are or are you seeing the person you really are. All the boys and girls are looking at her. Some talk to her. sit with her in class and then discuss her. Someone says, "She has a lot of personality." but someone else says,. Does one person have more or less personality than the other? The answer is "no." Personality is not measured by amount.
One person has different ideas, different interests and different experiences than the next. John has different abilities and even behaves differently than Mike. more interesting because no two of your friends are exactly like you or each other. If you were to create a definition of personality, you would say something like this: Personality is the sum of your specific ways of thinking, feeling, and acting. Do you see the person you think you are? Do you see the person your friends think you are?
Do you wish your eyes were big and blue instead of gray as nature gave you? We have to learn to live and adapt to those things that cannot be changed.

The horse clattered through the streets as the rider shouted, "The British, the British, the British are coming!" As Revere's cries woke him, he grabbed a drum almost as big as he was and pulled on it.

THIS FARM SHOP feature could be the answer to your section's problem of getting members' cattle ready for the show ring. The portable livestock easily slides into a van and can be taken from one member's farm to another. This idea was submitted by Charles L. Harn, vocational agriculture teacher at Valley Senior High School and advisor to the Fairview, Illinois, FFA.
We will pay $20.00 for the best idea published in each issue and $10.00 for each additional item used.

Minnesota's star dairy farmer defeated Princess Kay of the Milky Way in the annual milk cow contest and put Future Farmers on top 7 to 4 in the series. Bunkowske's win over Mary Ann Titrud, Princess Kay, also gave him the "small benefit" of submitting the first entry in the FFA Dairy June Slogan Contest conducted by the Minnesota FFA. The rackets are made of one-half bar, reinforced and cut and welded by members of the chapter.
The racks sell for $4.50, allowing just a little profit over the cost of the metal, welding rod and paint. -Ah Instructor Mac DeVilbiss says there is a lot of interest in the community for this useful rack, and the chapter views the program as an ideal community service project. Governor Knowles saluted the Future Farmers of his state for the important role they played in maintaining the position of agriculture and especially dairy farming in Wisconsin.
INDIANA - The Department of Vocational Agriculture at Sheridan was one of the first in the state to add on-the-job training in agribusiness to its curriculum. WEST VIRGINIA — Two Future Farmers in Normantown registered perfect scores in soil evaluation at the fifteenth International Land.

Steve spoke on the timely topic "Is the world capable of feeding itself?" His confidence and ability to answer questions helped him earn the right to represent his state at the regional competition in Kansas City. FFA quickly realized the need to connect these members closer to FFA and recognize their accomplishments. Last December, the usual trophies were presented to the Star Green Hand and Star Chapter Farmer during the annual parent-son banquet. However, the new and unique trophy was also presented to Lowell Coppess.

His confidence and ability to answer questions helped him earn the right to represent his state at the regional competition in Kansas City. A group of businessmen from Columbus, Wisconsin, attended the convention as special guests of the local FFA. FFA camp and many other activities are funded by the chapter with limited expenses for individual FFA members.
Public relations important. A well-informed public is another goal of the chapter. Last year, the chapter reporter won the district award for the third time in a row and had a total of 106 articles in area newspapers.

Our chapter had won first place in the state com- . petition and we were chosen to participate in chsrus. This was my first project in sheep farming and I didn't know much about them. The lamb that I found was a month old lamb owned by another boy at FFA. let.
This lamb was kept at the boy's house, so I didn't know he brought it to the barn. While most vo-ag teachers agree that they don't have to be "different," they find a distinct reward from teaching vo-ag. Although it is difficult to define, one is impressed with the sense of accomplishment that established voice teachers derive from their work. It seems that teaching vo-ag provides one with evidence of one's ability, as opposed to the more general kind of sense of how one is doing that is usually associated with teaching.
Because of this, you will have more in common. with members of the community than if you were not teaching. As a teacher in vo-ag August-September, 1966. you will use your creative talents to achieve a unity of growth in your students that leads to maturity in thought and behavior. In addition, vo-ag teaching leads to other teaching jobs, the classes are usually small.

FFA members have long taken pride in the fact that their organization operated democratically. It is therefore important that FFA officers and members have a clear understanding of voting methods, and methods of voting. It is not unusual that in a voice vote the president cannot determine which side the majority voted for.
The President is entitled to vote when the vote is by ballot and in all other situations when his vote changes the result. If he wanted it to fail, he could cast his vote with the negative votes, making it a tie and causing the motion to fail. Likewise, if the vote was tied, he could cast his vote with the affirmative votes that resulted in the motion being passed.
