Economic statistics can describe just as well what the nation is doing today, how fast life is changing for better or worse, and with a lesser degree of accuracy, what the future will be like.

Education is a powerful tool for national development because it is the only route to economic prosperity for both individuals and the nation. Its role will increase for both individuals and the nation.
