Theoretical Background 1. Teaching English
In teaching English, methodology is very important for the teacher to make the learning and teaching more effective. An important recent development in methodology has been the shift in emphasis from the teacher to the learner. Evaluation is a way to judge the performance of the students in the field of education.
From the explanation above, the teacher can use one of the types of evaluation to measure the students' performance. PPP (Presentation, practice, production) technique is the technique used by the teacher to teach English. This means that this technique can make it easier for the teacher to understand the material for the students.
The students repeat the sentence individually and the teacher corrects any error she hears. The example of the practice phase: the teacher appoints the students one by one to check their learning process. Here the students are asked to use the new language (in this case the present continuous) in sentences of their own language.
For example, the teacher can make the students think that they are all on vacation. For example: the teacher gives brainstorming sessions to the students, the students do exercises (completed on the board with the teacher), question and answer comprehension exercises, games involving the teacher, exercises/repetition and demonstration/role play. 48Anggraeni M.S Lagalo, “The Application of Presentation, Practice and Production Method (PPP) to Enhance Students' Speaking Skills” (Department of English Faculty of Arts and Culture Gorontalo State University).
Previous Research Findings
From the above explanation, the application of PPP techniques has several advantages and disadvantages in teaching English. The PPP technique (Presentation, Practice, Production) is one of the techniques that can be used in teaching English. The PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) technique makes students understand more in the lesson and encourages students to say something freely.
In this research showed that PPP technique can improve students' writing skills, especially for students MA AL MA'ARIF Singosari Malang for first year class X-2. The application of method of presentation, practice and production (PPP) to increase students' speaking ability (a research conducted on the tenth . grade students of Man Batuda in 2012/2013 academic year)”. In this research showed that presentation, practice and production (PPP) method can increase students' speaking ability.
These two previous research findings show that the PPP technique gives positive impact to students. Both previous research studies focus on teaching writing and speaking, while my research is more general than teaching writing and reading because of my research about the PPP technique applied in teaching English. Therefore, the researcher takes the title "The use of PPP (Presentation, Practice and Production) technique in teaching English to eleventh grade students of MA Miftahul Ulum Balong Ponorogo in the academic year 2015/2016".
The observation is done by observing the implementation of PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) technique in the teaching of English to the student of Eleventh grade of MA Miftahul Ulum Ngraket in academic year 2015/2016.

- The impact of using PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) technique in teaching English to the eleventh grade students of MA
Although the students are more dominant at this stage, the teacher still helps the students to understand the exercise. By using this technique, students can be easier to understand the material, more active and also easier for the teacher to assess the students.”50. The teacher tells one of the students to read the example and stop them at each paragraph.
The teacher asks the students to read the material and if they do not understand the poster, they can ask the teacher. The teacher exercises the students in the vocabulary in the example of the poster "Independence Day Celebration". I always give evaluation to the students at the end of the lesson because I want to know the students' abilities.
The use of PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) technique in teaching English gives positive and negative impact to eleventh grade students in MA Miftahul Ulum. I think that using the PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) technique in teaching English gives a positive impact, for example, students are more confident to present, practice or explain in front of the class, more active in the class and easier to understand the material explained by the teacher."59. In my opinion, after learning English using the PPP technique (Presentation, Practice, Production) gives a positive impact on students.
Based on the observation, using PPP technique in eleventh grade gives the positive and negative impact on the students.
The analysis of using PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) technique in teaching English to the eleventh grade students at MA Miftahul Ulum
If the students have incorrect pronunciation, the teacher corrects until the students have good pronunciation. After that, the teacher gives the exercise to the students and they have to do the exercise individually. Afterwards, the teacher chooses the best product and calls the students who have the best product to come forward.
Then the teacher asks them to show or present their product in front of the class. In addition, the teacher also evaluates the attitude of the students during the learning process. First time; Presentation, the teacher presents or shows the material to the students with the help of a picture.
There is a difference in the application of the PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) technique, the teacher of MA Miftahul Ulum and the theory of Jeremy Harmer. The teacher uses images when explaining the material and also asks the students to create the product with their own idea or own language. All students can carry out the teacher's instructions; the average students can do the task, practice and make the production well, the classroom interaction is also conducive.
Although, sometimes some students pay less attention while the teacher presents the material, but the class interaction can be controlled by the teacher.
The analysis of the impact of using PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) technique in teaching English to the eleventh grade students
From the above discussion, the researcher can interpret that the use of PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) technique in eleventh grade students of MA Mifathul Ulum is well done. Analysis of the impact of using the PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) technique in teaching English to eleventh grade students. First, students are easier to understand the material and students also easier to understand the simple structure.
The students during learning process always ask the lesson that is not understood and always answer when asked by teacher. In this technique, the students were always given written or spoken practice to assess their ability. Although the negative impact of implementing PPP technique in teaching English is that some students lose concentration when the teacher presents the material because they are noisy or talking with other friends, need a long time in the practice or production stage, the exercise can be predictable by students.
Based on Alfiatul Izzah's journal, she states that the implementation of the PPP technique has advantages and disadvantages. It means that using the PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) technique in teaching English can increase the students' English proficiency. In addition, the students' imagination or ideas develop better, the students are more active and have more self-confidence when carrying out the exercises.
