Can you give an example of analytical expository text?‖. The researcher asks students to read the text given and explain what is explained in the text. From the result cycle 1, it showed that the result pre-test and post-test 1 were improved. The students were sufficiently interested in learning process. But the result was unsuccessful. the students who passed the minimum pass grade were 5 students in pre-test and 13 students in the post-test.

The research will therefore be continued in cycle 2. The . comparison between post-test score and post-test. Then give the example for the students how to search now and find the body of the text in paragraphs 1, 2 and 3. c) The third meeting. In addition, the average score of the students in cycle II was higher than in cycle I. The following was the table of illustration score in cycle I and cycle II.

This is supported by the improvement of the score of the students from pre-test to post-test I and from post-test I to post-test II. 3. The result of students' learning activities in cycle I and cycle II The students' learning activities data is from the whole . students' learning activities on observation sheet. Based on the data above, it can be concluded that the students felt comfortable and active with the learning process because most of the students showed good improvement in learning mix/freeze/pair applied in learning process from cycle I to cycle II. d) The students are able to do the task.

LITERATURE REVIEW

The Definition of Reading

Brown explains that Intensive Reading is usually a classroom-oriented activity where students focus on the linguistic or semantic details of a passage. Intensive reading calls students' attention to grammatical forms, discourse markers, and other surface structure details for the purpose of understanding literal meaning.7. Brown explains that extensive reading is done to gain a general understanding of a usually somewhat longer text (book, long article or essays, etc.)8.

Indeed, neither a bottom-up nor a top-down approach is an adequate characterization of the reading process, and more appropriate models are known as interactive models, in which each component of the reading process can interact with any other component, be it "higher up" or "lower". .9. A short list of the fundamentally incomprehensible aspects of reading instruction that children may be exposed to would include:10. 10Frank Smith, Reading Comprehension, A Psycholinguistic Analysis of Reading and Learning to Read (London: Lawrence Erlbaum Associates Publishers, 2004), p. 217.

But the letters c, a, and t are arbitrary visual symbols that have nothing to do with anything else in a child's life. A child who has no idea about reading should be told that there are some unusual shapes called letters.

The Concept of Reading Ability

Based on the definition given above, it is concluded that reading comprehension is an activity to gain an understanding of the meaning of the text, which can then be translated into one's own language.

Assessment of Reading Ability

The same critics who worry about one student doing the work for the group will ask the question, “Why is it fair to give the kid who did nothing the same grade as the kid who did everything?” The answer you should give the question for both of them is ―Cooperative learning doesn't work like that in my classroom.‖23. A few students answered ‖analytic expository text‖, a few students were silent, and two students answered ‖narrative text‖. The researcher said ―Good!. The students' test score on the post-test 1 was better than the pre-test test.

Can you give an example of analytical . exhibition text, from this text?‖. The researcher asks the students to .. read the text given and explain what is explained in the text.

RESULT OF THE RESEARCH AND INTERPRETATION

Description of Research Location

The researcher gave a text about ―Cars Should be Banned in The City‖ and asked the students to read it. From the table above it could be seen that the scores of the students in post-test II were different. The results of the pre-test showed that most of the students found it difficult to do that.

Based on the graph above, it could be deduced that Mix/Freeze/Pair strategy could improve students' reading ability. Mix/freeze/pair strategy is effective in improving students' reading ability in the teaching and learning process.

Description of The Research

Interpretation

Reading will be easier to understand if it is supported by the right strategy or technique, because the lesson will take more concrete for students and the students must have complete understanding. During the research, the researcher observed that the students were enthusiastic for attention of teacher's explanation in learning process. In this phase, the researcher presented the pre-test to measure the students' ability before the implementation of the treatment.

Based on table 8 the mean of students was 65.15, it shows that most of the students have not yet passed to achieve the minimum mastery criteria of at least 75. Based on table 10 the mean of students was 71.15, it showed that most of the students have not yet passed to achieving MMC of at least 75. Comparison of scores in pre-test, post-test I in cycle I and post-test II in cycle II.

The comparison of reading ability of pre-test, post-test I in cycle I and post-test II in cycle II. The Comparison of Students' Pre-test, Post-test I score in Cycle I and Post-test II score in Cycle II. Based on the results of the pre-test, post-test I and post-test II, it was known that there was a positive significant improvement of the students. score.

The comparative result of students' reading ability in pre-test, post-test I in cycle I and post-test II in cycle I. Students' attention to the teacher's explanation from the first meeting to the next meeting increased. Students asking/answering questions from the teacher increased from the first meeting to the next meeting.

It could be seen in cycle I 50.00% and cycle II 80.76%, improved 31%. Then, based on the explanation of cycle I and cycle II, it can be concluded that the use of synonym context and antonymy data strategy improves students'. Based on the above explanation, it can be concluded that the learning activity of the students happened increasing from cycle I to cycle II. It was caused that in learning in the II cycle, the students have started to be responsible for themselves, so that the activity in the learning process has a good effect.

Discussion

During the research, the researcher observed that the students were interested in teaching reading English. The researcher assumes that teaching by mix/freeze/pair strategy can improve students' reading of English. Based on the explanation of cycle I and cycle II, it can be demonstrated that the use of mix/freeze/pair strategy could improve students' reading ability.

From the explanation, the researcher concludes that the research is successful and that it can be stopped in cycle II because the indicator of success 75% of the students achieved a score >75 has been reached. The use of mix/freeze/pair is also used as an alternative strategy for teaching reading skills because the strategy is easy to implement and interesting for students to learn to read. It made it easier for the students to understand the material, so it could improve the students' reading ability.

Based on the observation of the class, the students will become more active after the teacher motivates the students. Pedestrians roam everywhere and cars often hit pedestrians in the city, killing them. If you live in the city, you may find it difficult to sleep at night, or to concentrate on your homework, and especially to talk to someone.

Secondly, English is also the key necessary for the economic and political development of many countries in the world. First, the chemicals in the pesticides can accumulate as residues in the environment and in the soil that absorbs the chemicals. If you live in the city, you may find it difficult to sleep at night, concentrate on homework, and especially talk.

After students have finished speaking, ask them to enter their information in the Student Discovery Guide on the next page. Third meeting The students did the post test I and after they finished they paid more attention when the teacher corrected their task. The first meeting The students feel rather bored in the learning process, but they still paid attention to the teacher.

CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION

Suggestion

For the reason above we can therefore conclude that the three levels of government are necessary.
