Abstract
The problem that often occurs by students, especially immigrant students is the difficulty in obtaining a place to live, one of which is a boarding house.
However, some students have considerations in choosing their boarding houses, the most important consideration is the distance between the boarding house and the campus. Based on these problems, an application is made to find the closest boarding house from campus, in this application there is a boarding search feature based on the closest distance and information related to the boarding house. The system development method used is the Rational Unified Process (RUP), the RUP method is a process-oriented activity development method. In this method, there are four stages of software development, namely inception, elaboration, construction and transition. In making the system using the PHP and JavaScript programming languages, the appearance of a website using the CodeIgniter framework, for making maps using leaflet and MySQL as the database. The results of this study resulted in a search system for the closest boarding house from campus, to find the closest distance using the Floyd Warshall algorithm, so that it can provide recommendations for the best path to be taken based on the calculation of the algorithm.
