TRUSTEES APPROVE PERSONNEL ITEMS
Dr. Joe C. Christian, professor of medical genetics at the l.U. School of Medicine, has been named acting chairman of the school's Department of Medical Genetics. The
l.U. trustees approved the appointment Saturday (June 3) at their meeting at I .U.-East at Richmond.

In other matters affecting lndianapol is campus personnel, the trustees approved:
-- Retirement effective June 30 for Cleon H. Foust, with the title professor emeritus of law (Foust Is a former dean of the I .U. Law School-lndianapol is);
-- Retirement effective July I for Dr. Maynard K. Hine with the titles chancellor emeritus of IUPUI and professor emeritus of periodontics (Dr. Hine, the first
chancellor of IUPUI and a former dean of dentistry, has served as a special assistant to l.U. President John W. Ryan);
A change in title for John C. Buhner, from associate dean of the faculties and professor of pol itlcal science to professor of political science in the School of Liberal Arts and professor of health administration in the School of Medicine;
