Asses developing biotechnology of animal reproduction (reproduction engineering), improve the quality of animal genetics to handle the problems on animal reproduction

7. Course Learning Outcome Students are able to practical of semen coleccting, testing the quality of spermatozoa, various ways of processing semen (cold or frozen process), know all the tools and techniques of artificial insemination in livestock.

8. Course Description Physiology and Reproductive Technology 2 courses are held by practicum for one semester. In conducting practicum, practicing collection technique and characteristic and physical examination method on semen livestock, semen processing method, frozen semen making method, practicing artificial insemination technique on livestock. At the beginning of every practicum practice is done pretest. In the middle and end of practicum activities, the mastery of the material is evaluated with a written lab exam

b. What to do and limitations: Briefly describe of artificial vagina and how to use, electro ejakulator and way its use, Macroscopic examination of semen, Microscopic examination of semen and biological test of semen.

c. Method/ how to work: The Order of the Lab work report is:

1. The importance of knowing about the use and how the use of artificial vagina and how to use electro ejaculator 2. Skill in macroscopic and microscopic examination of semen

3. Skill in the biological test of semen

d. Output description of group assignment: In the form of a lab work report in the practical manual of Artificial Insemination.. The report was done, handwritten neatly, can be hand-drawn.
