Skala Nominal, Ordinal, Interval dan Rasio

1. Skala Nominal → disebut skala variabel kategori, didefinisikan sebagai skala yang melabeli variabel ke dalam klasifikasi yang berbeda dan tidak melibatkan nilai atau urutan kuantitatif.

Contoh: Tingkat RS Bhayangkara (Tk I, Tk II, Tk III, Tk IV), jenis kelamin (pria, Wanita), golongan darah (A, B, O, AB)

2. Skala Ordinal → sebagai skala pengukuran variabel yang digunakan untuk menggambarkan urutan variabel dan bukan perbedaan antara masing-masing variable.

Contoh: status keuangan (meningkat, stabil, menurun), tingkat kepuasan (sangat puas, puas, tidak puas)

3. Skala Interval → didefinisikan sebagai skala numerik di mana urutan variabel diketahui serta perbedaan antara variabel-variabel tersebut. Variabel yang memiliki perbedaan familiar, konstan, dan dapat dihitung diklasifikasikan menggunakan skala Interval.

Contoh: skala suhu, skala waktu, skala pendapatan

4. Skala Ratio → sebagai skala pengukuran variabel yang tidak hanya menghasilkan urutan variabel tetapi juga membuat perbedaan antar variabel diketahui beserta informasi nilai nol sebenarnya.

Contoh: ukuran tinggi badan (<150 cm, 150-160 cm, 161-170 cm, >170 cm), ukuran BB (<1 kg,

1-10 kg, >10 kg)
