JULIDAH, 2022. This research was researcher Students Performance in Identifying Prepositional Phrases in Narrative Text by the Third Semester Students of English Education Department Islamic State University of Alauddin.
In this study aims at finding out the students‟ performance in identifying prepositional phrases in narrative text. The method of this research was description quantitative. Data sample of this research was the third semester students of Islamic state university. The was taken by using random sampling technique. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the students‟
performance in identifying prepositional phrases in the third semester students of Islamic state university is categorized to from the sentence was found that the students are difficulty to the sentence when identifying. It was based on the result of test given dealing with the classification of students‟ score.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kinerja Mahasiswa dalam Mengidentifikasi Prepositional Phrases in Narrative Text oleh Mahasiswa Semester III Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin. Dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja siswa dalam mengidentifikasi frase preposisional dalam teks naratif. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel data penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester III UIN. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa kinerja mahasiswa dalam mengidentifikasi frase preposisional pada mahasiswa semester III UIN dikategorikan dari kalimat ditemukan bahwa mahasiswa kesulitan untuk kalimat ketika mengidentifikasi. Hal ini didasarkan pada hasil tes yang diberikan berkaitan dengan klasifikasi nilai siswa.
