The researcher also hopes that with this application, students will be more interested in studying English and think that English is easy.

Organization of The Thesis

The future tense is a verb form used to express an action that will happen in the future.31 The simple future is a verb tense used to talk about things that have not happened yet. Sentences in the simple future tense can be marked with the words do, will and will. This word is used to express the idea that someone intends to do something in the future.

In addition, "going to" can also be used to show signs that something will happen. I'm going to the movies with my sister." and "Hm, I think I'll go to the movies, I just knew there's a new movie coming out on Monday." 34; I am going to the cinema with my sister" it can be seen in this sentence that the first person has made plans to go to the cinema with his sister.

While in the second sentence, "Hm, I think I'll go to the movies, I just knew there's a new movie coming out on Monday." In this sentence, there is spontaneous activity because the first person has just found out that there is a new movie, so he decided to spontaneously go to the cinema.

Framework

Hypothesis

This usually involves proposing a possible relationship between two variables: the independent variable (what the researcher changes) and the dependent variable (what the research measures). In research there is a convention that the hypothesis is written in two forms, the null hypothesis and the alternative hypothesis (called the experimental hypothesis when the method of investigation is an experiment. Hypothesis is a temporary answer to the research until proven by collecting the data.

The null hypothesis, coded by (H0) is that which states that there is no difference between the population mean (parameter) and that of the sample taken, or that there is no difference between the two parameters. H0 : There is no effect of using grammar apps on grammar scores of grade X students at SMKN 1 Jenangan. The alternative hypothesis coded by (Ha) is the one that says there is a difference between the sample mean and the population mean H1: μ = X Ha : There is an effect of using grammar apps on the grammar results of students of class X at SMKN 1 Jenangan.

Research Design

In this study, the researcher used a two-group experimental research design using a quantitative approach. The experimental method is a systematic and scientific approach to research in which the researcher manipulates one or more variables and checks and measures any changes in the other variables. Quasi-experimental is a type of quantitative research design conducted to explain the relationship and/or clarify why certain events occur.

This is the causal research, which analyzes the difference treatment between two groups.43 Quasi-experimental designs are those that are "almost true" experimental designs, except that the researcher the. After giving the treatment to students, the researcher administers it post-test to the control group and the experimental group. After that, the researcher analyzes the students' scores and interprets them for what they are effective for.

Before conducting the T-test, the researcher must find the other results, which were the mean, standard deviation, and standard error for each variable.

Population and Sample

A sample is a group of individuals, items or events that represent the characteristics of the larger group from which the sample is drawn.51 Sample is a subgroup of the target population that the researcher plans to study for generalization about the target population.52 Sample is part of population being studied. Sample is a subgroup of the target population that the researcher plans to study for generalization about the target population.53 Whether sampling is a process of sampling. Operational Definition of Research Variables

Data Collection Techniques and Instruments

The purpose of the test is to know the students' score before and after instruction using the Learn English Grammar application. In the lab class, the researchers gave 20 questions in the form of a Google form test. In the control group, the researchers also gave the students 20 questions in the form of a paper test.

To classify the students' score, the researcher uses the following criteria: Table 3.4 Criteria of Student Score.

Validity and Reliability 1. Validity

A test that lacks face validity may not be accepted by test takers, teachers, educational authorities and employers. Reliability is a measurement tool that refers to the confidence and consistency of the measurement results, which means how high the accuracy of the measurement is.59 A reliability test shows reliable measurement results. Reliability of an instrument is necessary to obtain data with measurement objectives.60 Reliability refers to the consistency of results obtained by the same person when re-examined with the same test on different occasions or with different sets of equivalent items.

When the reliability score is compared with these categories, the reliability calculation result is in the range of 0.41-0.60, consistent with the categories of reliability in the table above being highly reliable.

Data Analysis Technique

The function is to find out the significant differences between students who are taught with Learn English Grammar Application and those who are not. The researcher analyzes the data using the t-test formula to find a significant difference in English grammar achievement between students who are taught using the Learn English Grammar app and those who are not. The normality test is a test to measure whether our data has a normal distribution so that it can be used in parametric statistics.62 The normality test is used to determine whether the data is normal or not.

The researcher used SPSS statistical calculation with a Kolmogorov-Smirnov sample with significance value (α) = 0.05. Homogeneous test is performed to know whether the data has a homogeneous variance or not. The test of homogeneity in this research using SPSS statistical calculation which is Levene's statistical test from significance value (α) = 0.05.

The sample can be categorized as homogeneous if the significance value > 0.05 means that the data of the sample has the same variance.

Statistical Description

In this study, the researcher used SPSS to determine the effectiveness of Learn English Grammar Application in teaching the future tense of X OI A and X OI B in SMKN 1 Jenangan. It means that there are significance differences between the experimental class and the control class, or whether the English grammar application is effective to teach Simple Future Tense in SMKN 1 Jenangan in academic year 2021/2022. The English Grammar application is not effective for teaching Simple Future Tense in SMKN 1 Jenangan in academic year 2021/2022.
