The steps are: conducting a pre-test before the review, its purpose is to measure the student's reading comprehension before teaching the students using the pre-questioning technique. Both results were calculated using a t-test to see if there was a significant difference in teaching reading comprehension using the pre-questioning technique.
This study was designed to investigate the effects of using pre-questioning technique on reading comprehension of second grade students of SMP Guppi Samata in academic year 2018/2019. The table shows the students' progress in finding the main idea in reading as a result of calculating the students' pre- and post-tests with regard to content and organization using pre-questions. The students' reading score about the main idea in the pre-test (22) is lower than the post-test (32). The students' reading score on supporting idea in the pre-test (21) is lower than the post-test (35.5).

Discussion

The effectiveness of the pre-questioning technique in improving students' reading comprehension is also evident from the difference in the mean score of students before and after the test.
In addition, the effectiveness of pre-questioning technique in improving students' reading comprehension can also be seen by the difference between the students' result of average score in pre-test and post-test. The author concludes that the Pre-Questioning technique in the teaching and learning of reading comprehension is effective in improving the students' reading comprehension.
Conclusion
From the result, we find that the improvement of the students' completeness score also by looking at the score of t-test of main idea (4.83) and supporting idea (10.98) is greater than t-table value (2.093).
