After that, the researcher gave treatment using the information transfer activity technique and the students' score was improved. The data showed that the influence of the information transfer activity technique can improve students' reading comprehension in understanding the main idea. It can be seen in table 4.1 that the students' reading comprehension in terms of the main idea in the pre-test result was very weak, it was 6.45.

Using the information transfer activity technique is able to improve students' literal reading comprehension by focusing on supporting details. 2006. SLTP HangTuah Makassar second year students reading comprehension ability through information transfer activity.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

Previous Related Research Findings

In the treatment, the researcher used the information transfer activity technique to find the improvement in students' reading comprehension in terms of the main idea, and the improvement was also in the pre-test and post-test. The improvement in students' mean score in pre-test and post-test showed that the use of information transfer technique is effective in increasing students' reading comprehension in terms of main idea. Percentage level and frequency of students' literal reading comprehension in terms of the main idea.

Based on the pre- and post-test data, the students showed improvement in supporting details. This was supported by the mean score and percentage of the students' pre- and post-test result.

Concept of Reading

Reading Related to the Curriculum of SMA

The term input in the diagram above refers to students' reading comprehension. Students reading comprehension before and after they were taught the Information Transfer activity (ITA). The test was intended to reveal students' ability before and after treatment using the Information Transfer Activity (ITA) technique.

After the students had read the text, the researcher asked the student to complete the test. This was shown by the average score of the students in the pre- and post-test and also by the percentage of improvement. Based on table 4.1 above, it appeared that the average score of the students on the preliminary test was 6.45.

The improvement of the students' average score during the pre- and post-test proved that the use of Information Transfer Activity Technique is effective in increasing the students' reading comprehension in terms of supporting details of the text. The percentage and frequency of students' literal reading comprehension in terms of supporting detail. It means that the students can better understand the information or the main idea of the text.

Based on finding and discussion in the use of Information Transfer Activity Technique in the class, the data was collected through the test as explanation in the previous finding section showed that the students' reading comprehension in terms of supporting details of the text. The use of Information Transfer Activity (ITA) Technique in the teaching of reading comprehension is able to improve the students' literal understanding in the Tenth Grade Students of SMAN 1 HU'U Kab.Dompu NTB. The students should increase their ability to learn to read by using information transfer activity (ITA) technique.

The post-test was used to determine the students' reading ability after treatment. The result of the statistical test analysis showed that there was a significant difference between the students' score before the pre-treatment using Information Transfer Activity Technique and the students' score after the treatment. This section presents a discussion on the interpretation of the research results derived from the result of statistical analysis to represent students' reading comprehension in the teaching and learning process through the influence of Information Transfer Activity Technique.

Addressing the above problem, so the researcher was expected to help the students to improve their reading comprehension by using information transfer activity technique. The researcher concludes that the influence of Information Transfer Activity Technique was one of good technique that could improve students' reading comprehension on tenth grade students in SMAN 1 Hu'u Kab. FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION

Findings

The result of pre-test and post-test had an improvement which was 18.75% with an interval of 1.21. The following table showed that the percentage of the main idea through the Information Transfer Activity Technique in the pre-test and post-test. After the researcher gave the pre-test and post-test, there was an improvement in reading comprehension in terms of supporting details in the text.

The average score in the preliminary test was 6.09, so most students still did not understand the text. The student's percentage improvement from pre-test to post-test was 476.1% with a range of 0.29. It meant that the Information Transfer Activity Technique could improve students' reading comprehension in terms of supporting details.

It was shown that there was a significant improvement in students' reading comprehension in terms of the main idea and supporting details of the text using the information transfer technique in the tenth grade students of SMAN 1 Hu’u Kab. The following table showed that the percentage of supporting details with the information transfer activity technique in the pre-test and post-test. The test result was significant difference between t-table and t-test (57.6<2.042), which means t-table was lower than t-test.

Furthermore, the t-test value was greater than the t-table value which is (57.6<2.042), it means that the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. Looking at the above result, it can be concluded that teaching English using information transfer activity technique can improve the reading comprehension of the tenth grade students of SMAN 1 Hu'u Kab.

Discussion

Pre-test score and post-test score, there was an improvement in students' score from low to high using the information transfer technique. According to Littelewood (1983), information transfer technique is the transfer of information as a technique in which learners have to acquire relevant information. By making this change, students show that they have understood the information and that their understanding is deep enough to adapt it in some way. Therefore, the information transfer technique can help students organize information about a text, making it easier for them to synthesize information. or a better understanding of the main idea of the text.

Looking at the above result, the use of information transfer activity technique had improved students' reading comprehension in terms of main idea. According to Littlewood (1983) the Information Transfer Activity Technique is the transfer of information as a technique where learners now have to extract relevant information from the text in order to transfer it to another, such as a table, graph or diagram . By making this change, students show that they have understood the information and that their understanding is deep enough to adapt it in some way. In using the information transfer activity technique, it can help the teacher to explain the materials better than before.

This means that implementation of the Information Transfer Activity Technique in the treatment of the students' SMAN 1 Hu'u Kab. After calculating the value t-test analysis, it was compared with the t-table value, so the researcher found that the value of the t-test was greater than the t-table value, it meant that the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and alternative hypothesis ( H1) was accepted because there was a difference in a significant mean score of tests given by researcher before and after researcher using information transfer activity technique in reading comprehension. It was (57.6<2.042), this means that the t-table was lower than the t-test, and there was a significant difference between the students' reading comprehension before and after they received the Information Transfer Activity Technique in tenth grade students in SMAN 1 Hu' u Kab.

English teachers are suggested to use the information transfer technique (ITA) in the teaching and learning process, especially in teaching reading comprehension to identify the main idea of a paragraph. English teachers should do their best to guide students in the learning and teaching process, especially when using Information Transfer Technique (ITA). The teacher must be creative in teaching using the Information Transfer Technique (ITA) because there are many techniques that could be used in teaching, especially reading, also the teacher must be creative in designing the lesson materials to be given to the students, so that students will be more interested in the teaching and learning process.

English teachers must be creative to manage the presentation of material in the classroom to teach reading comprehension, such as using the Information Transfer Activity (ITA) technique.
