On this occasion, let me convey a few things about manners to Master.

dear guests

Today, the character, morals, manners of students are experiencing a decline more students are disobedient and even fight against their teachers. That the teacher must be respected and glorified. Because teacher, is personality who teach us about various sciences.

Until a poet said:

accept your stupidity if you disobey the teacher dear happy guests

In the book Ta'limul Muta'alim by Sheikh Az-Zarnuji it is explained that there are several morals, and manners that we can practice in teachers, including:

First, we should not walk in front of the teacher Second, do not sit in the teacher's seat

Third, do not start talking except with the teacher's permission Fourth, don't ask something when the teacher is tired/bored

Fifth, if you want to meet the teacher, say hello and don't knock on the door, but wait for the teacher to come out

Sixth, don't make the teacher angry and obey his orders

Seventh, respect your sons/daughters and those who are related to the teacher

dear happy guests

There is a history in the Qur'an, the history of the journey of the Prophet Musa. While studying with the Prophet Khidir as in study knowledge, Prophet Musa declared himself to the Prophet Khidira that he would respect, obey and glorify him in the educational process of learning knowledge contained in surah Al Kahf verse 69, which reads:

Musa said: "God willing, you will find me patient, and I will not oppose you in any matter."

In the book Tadzkiratus-sami 'wal-mutakallim written by Ibn Jama'ah Asy-Syafi'i, stated it that the relationship between a student and his teacher is like the relationship between a patient and a doctor.

Why is that? Because a teacher is like a doctor. If the doctor treats physical ailments, the teacher treats diseases of ignorance and also treats diseases of bad morals.

So if a patient who has a physical illness wants to recover from his illness, he must comply with the doctor's instructions.

Likewise a student, if he wants to get rid of stupid diseases and bad morals that exist in him then he should follow the directions of his teacher.

In Islam, the recommendation to be devoted to parents which also includes being devoted to the teacher to reach God's heaven, is really a loss and a disaster if there are teachers who are still alive but are not devoted to them so they cannot take themselves to heaven. Na'uzubillahi min zalik.

In a Hadith it is stated that:

"Remember that the pleasure of Allah is in parents, the wrath of Allah is in the anger of parents" (Hadith of Tirmizi's History)

The hadith above also indicates that the teacher as a substitute for parents at school also has the same maqom. Allah's pleasure lies in the Master's pleasure. Allah's wrath also lies in the Master's anger.

dear happy guests

And don't let us hurt our teachers so that it makes them shed tears because of our mistakes.

But make them shed tears because they are happy and grateful to have students who are pious and dutiful.

Therefore, a student must be able and able to find the teacher's willingness, must be able to respect the teacher, must speak politely and politely to the teacher, must be able to carry out the teacher's advice and must be able to reassure the teacher.

Why does a student have to do all that? The answer is that the teacher is pleased/sincere with the knowledge that has been given so that the knowledge we get can be useful.
