  • Scope of the Research

A study on oral feedback conducted by Joore (2013) says that providing oral feedback in a bilingual context can be effective by interviewing students about the structure of language, with each student interviewed individually. Students believed that they needed oral feedback from the teacher to be able to speak and write accurately in English. Based on the review items above, the researcher decided to apply teachers' feedback in oral form as the author thinks that providing oral feedback to students will be more powerful than giving written feedback because oral feedback is more save time and energy in delivering feedback.

The previous research also shows the use of oral feedback about the student outside Makassar, especially in the Wajo district. The researcher has also not yet found that the study of oral feedback mentioned its limitation in the use of writing process. Based on that reason, the researcher was interested in investigating the use of oral feedback on students in Wajo, whether this feedback was effective.

Can the use of Teacher Oral Feedback for students improve their writing ability in the second grade in class XI Rekayasa Perangat Lunak (RPL) of SMKN 1 Gilireng Wajo?”. In relation to the above problem statement, the objective of the research was to find out the development of students' writing through the Oral Feedback of the second grade teachers in Class XI Rekayasa Perangak Lunak (RPL) of SMKN 1 Gilireng Wajo.
