CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION
A. Conclusion
The short story was translated through several stages. Before translating, there were observations for selecting a platform to read short stories, choosing the short story, genre determination, and understanding the context of the short story. Then, direct practice was done using the translation process and techniques. During the translation, it was also found several obstacles and solutions.
From the “Persahabatan” short story, the theory from Bathgate about the translation process was applied. In addition, the 14 translation techniques of Molina and Albir in translating the short story were also found. Among the translation techniques that were used, the Compensation was the most dominant technique because there were many words that could not be actualized in the exact words in the target language. The technique was used to clarify the context of the short story so that the readers could get the message from the short story.
The obstacles in the process of translating the short story were generally about finding the right Interjections, Onomatopoeias, and writing mistakes from the source language. However, the obstacles could be overcome with several solutions. There were using the internet to find varieties of Interjections, using adaptation techniques to find Onomatopoeias so that the sound could be described rightly, using the KBBI website and asking the author’s short story to revise the typographical errors or writing mistakes, and also with the help of discussion with the supervisors.
B. Suggestions
After carrying out the job training, there are some suggestions that need to be considered to novice translators in general, as follows:
1. A translator must be mastering the knowledge of translation.

2. A translator needsto pay attention to punctuation before translating the text.
3. A translator must be aware of cultural differences between Source Language and Target Language.
4. A translator must understand the text and apply the right translation technique.
