E-learning
Based on the above explanation, the definition of e-learning is a learning process that uses electronic devices to deliver material so that the learning process can be carried out well and can help facilitate the learning process that is carried out interactively anytime, anywhere. From the above explanation, it can be deduced that synchronous is a form of e-learning where the learning time takes place in real time. Students can discuss the material directly with the teachers, while asynchronous is a form of e-learning in which students study the material independently.
In terms of the function of e-learning, these are e-learning as a supplement, e-learning as a supplement and e-learning as a replacement. Based on the above explanation, the advantages of e-learning are that it can help the learning process effectively and efficiently.
Teaching English Language Skills in High School
Teachers can provide a system computer work time to complete tasks independently or in small groups. So, to teach English to teenagers, especially students at the high school level, teachers can use a technology that has existed to support the learning process. The receptive skills are listening and reading where learners do not have to produce language.
These skills are sometimes known as passive skills.54 Listening and reading are receptive skills because the focus is on receiving information from an external source.55 According to Harmer, receptive skills are the ways in which people extract meaning from the discourse they see or hear.
Reading
So reading is an important skill that consists of recognition and comprehension to understand printed words like newspaper, article or anything else to give information, take us to academic success and also reading is a continuous activity. Intensive reading involves a short reading passage, followed by textbook activities to develop comprehension and/or specific reading skills.58 Furthermore, intensive reading is the grammar-translation approach in which the teacher works with the students and uses the first language to understand the meaning of words to explain. a text, sentence by sentence.59 2. As it is written in Sarwono's book, extensive reading is done to obtain a general.
Reading is the reading of something or the way in which something is understood,62 and aloud is a voice loud enough to be heard.63 Reading is a form of reading in which the text is read aloud to attract the student's attention to studying a text and encouraging discussion. Silent reading improves students' comprehension because it helps them focus on what they are reading.64 Silent reading is done to acquire a lot of information.65.
Listening
We can distinguish four types of listening which are: (a) intensive listening for the perception of the components (phonemes, words, intonation) of a large part of the language; (b) responsive is listening to relatively short language (a greeting, question, command) in order to give an equally short response; (c) selective is listening to scan for certain information, to be able to understand certain information in a context with longer stretches of spoken language; d) broad is listening to develop a global top-down understanding of the spoken language. 69. Bottom-up refers to the use of incoming input as a basis for understanding the message.70 According to Nation, these are the processes the listener uses to piece together the message piece by piece from the speech stream, going from the parts to the whole. 71 According to Richards, bottom-up processing goes from language to meaning, top-down processing goes from meaning to language.72 In the bottom-up part of the listening process, we use our knowledge of language and our ability to process signals acoustic to make sense of the sounds presented to us by speech. The purposes of listening are: (1) listening for the main idea, the purpose of this type is to enable students to understand the main point or general information presented in the audio; (2) listening for details, the goal is to train students to pick up specific information; (3) listening for sequence, the goal is for students to correctly understand the sequence and what each step involves; (4) listening for a specific vocabulary, the goal is to identify and remember a series of words, which are usually easily categorized as types of food, sports, animals, etc.; (5) listening for cultural interest, the goal is to expose the class to this cultural aspect through a listening activity; (6) listening for attitudes and opinions, the goal is for the student to be able to distinguish between different attitudes and positions and to identify how the speaker feels; (7) listening to functional language, the aim is to show students what these expressions are like.
The most common type of listening exercise in many textbooks is listening for specific information. If students need experience with different types of listening texts, they should also work on a variety of tasks.
Speaking
A foreign language context is one where the target language is not the language of communication in society, such as learning English in Japan or 82David Nunan, Practical English Language Teaching, 56. . studying French in Australia) while a second language context is one where the target language is the language of communication in society, such as English in the UK or Spanish in Mexico. Pair work and group work activities can be used to increase the amount of time students have speaking in the target language during lessons.
Learners progress by communicating in the target language, as interaction necessarily involves trying to understand. Because language learners will need to speak the target language in transactional and interactional settings.
Writing
In many ways it is the easiest way to write because it comes so naturally. Brief responses to a lecture, journal entries, letter writing, summaries, or any other type of writing you find useful in class should be practiced during class. Non-weighted rubric, this type of rubric provides descriptions of writing quality at the same level as other writing criteria.
Quipper School is a free e-learning facility that was created to make a task easy for teachers. Quipper School has thousands of subjects including Indonesian language lesson, English lesson, math, science and social.
Previous research finding
The result of this study showed that the e-learning approach has a good effectiveness in learning and improves students' deferred achievement and attitude towards this new systematic way of learning. Sivakumar et al conducted a study focusing on the study to determine the impact of group based learning on student learning. The findings of the study showed that the group learning approach through e-learning improved good feedback from students and teachers.
Group based learning in e-learning is the best and most useful way to deliver content through e-learning.99. 99 Sivakumar Venkataraman, et al., “Engagement of students in group-based learning through e-learning techniques in the higher education system”, IJETST: International Journal of Emerging Trends in Science and Technology, 1, (Jan.

Specific Data
- The use of Quipper School as an e-learning platform in teaching English E-learning which usually known as distance learning, web-based learning,
- The advantages and disadvantages of using Quipper School in teaching English
Based on the above statement, it could be known that using Quipper School was not difficult. The same was also explained by AG, she said that the use of Quipper School was good and relatively effective. These were the obstacles the teachers faced when using Quipper School.
Sometimes students run out of mobile phones when they want to access Quipper School via smartphone. The several obstacles faced by the teachers and students became the disadvantage of using Quipper School.
DATA ANALYSIS
The analysis of the use of Quipper School in teaching English
The teachers use Quipper School because it is effective and it can help teachers in terms of creating and sharing the materials and tasks. The media used in Quipper School which are electronic devices such as smartphone, laptop or computer. Then the teacher creates class and asks the student to join Quipper School by giving a class code.
Then the students can open to learn material. Seen by the function of e-learning side, Rusman said that Quipper School is as complement. When viewed in terms of the type of e-learning, the Quipper School type is asynchronous learning.
The analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of using Quipper School
In addition, based on the research done by the researcher, it also has the disadvantages that there is still no written material that the student can do, such as narrative, descriptive material. A student complains about problems with the Wifi connection, sometimes they can use it, sometimes they can't, so they can't connect it in their electronic device. There is no longer any doubt that an Internet connection is important when using Quipper School.141.
Using Quipper School as an e-learning platform can be used by the student as media in learning independently. It also helps the teacher in preparing the material, sharing it with the students and conducting the assessment easily.
CLOSING
Conclusion
Moreover, the disadvantage of using Quipper School as e-learning in teaching English is still lack of materials needed by the teacher, the problem of WIFI connection in the school, and the limitation of mobile data plan.
