Abstract
CNC milling is a flexible technology for machining UHMWPE with low machinability. This study was undertaken for modeling of the experimental data with CNC milling parameters (spindle speed, feed rate, and step over) against the response of surface roughness of UHMWPE acetabular cup. Here the significant machining parameters on the surface roughness were first analysed by ANOVA, while the optimized parameters for yielding the minimum surface
roughness were determined with the Taguchi method and the Response Surface Methodology (RSM). In the milling of UHMWPE acetabular cup, the method was confirmed valid for optimizing the cutting parameters with the minimal surface roughness. Accordingly, the minimum surface roughness determined by the Taguchi method could
correspond to the optimum levels of spindle speed of 6500 rpm, the feed rate of 1500 mm/rev and step over about 0.1 mm. The Taguchi and RSM based models yielded the consistent results, hereby justifying their suitability. In
conclusion, the examination by statistical indicators confirmed the acceptability of these examples. © IAEME Publication.

ABSTRACT
CNC milling is a flexible technology for machining UHMWPE with low machinability. This study was undertaken for modeling of the experimental data with CNC milling parameters (spindle speed, feed rate, and step over) against the response of surface roughness of UHMWPE acetabular cup. Here the significant machining parameters on the surface roughness were first analysed by ANOVA, while the optimized parameters for yielding the minimum surface roughness were determined with the Taguchi method and the Response Surface Methodology (RSM). In the milling of UHMWPE acetabular cup, the method was confirmed valid for optimizing the cutting parameters with the minimal surface roughness. Accordingly, the minimum surface roughness determined by the Taguchi method could correspond to the optimum levels of spindle speed of 6500 rpm, the feed rate of 1500 mm/rev and step over about 0.1 mm. The Taguchi and RSM based models yielded the consistent results, hereby justifying their suitability. In conclusion, the examination by statistical indicators confirmed the acceptability of these examples.

With ever increasing concern on energy security, future oil supplies, high
performance of automobiles, the global community has been seeking for non- petroleum alternative fuels. it leads to research in modifying the mechanical design and analysing its performance characteristics with vary in fuel used, applied load on
engine, torque, lubrication etc. preheating is a method to increase the thermal efficiency of engine, decrease the humidity in inlet air supplied, reduce the undesired effects of cold start and in turn helps for complete combustion. The present research work was to analysis the performance characteristics of a four stroke DTS-I, single cylinder, air cooled, spark injection petrol fuelled with methanol blends in different concentrations. The results are compared with the modified engine in which the inlet air gets preheated. The engine test results showed improvement in all performance characteristics in modified engine. It results an increase in brake thermal efficiency by 4-6%, indicated thermal efficiency by 3-5% and improvement in Brake specific fuel consumption by 5.4% with comparison with normal engine.
Keywords : Methanol, Brake thermal Efficiency, Pre-heating, Brake Specific Fuel Consumption.

There is proposed a detailed model for a decision support system for investment in SMART CITY technologies. The model is distinguished by the assumption that the first investor does not have complete information, both about the financial strategies of the second investor and about the states of his financial resources aimed at SMART CITY
investing. In this case, the first investor has the opportunity to obtain additional
information by the expense of a part of his financial resources. The last one makes it

Issues of population explosion has evoked several images characterized by
emotional, value-laden and often paranoiac connotation that cannot be obviously
ignored considering its threatening challenges. It is against the foregoing that this paper attempt to interrogate the relevance of Thomas Malthus theory on population and the challenges of the bourgeoning population explosion in Nigeria. The core objective of this paper is to investigate the relevance of the theory on Nigeria’s population. Other objectives are to ascertain the effects of the population explosion on the Nigerian urban
areas; food security, crimes and security and poverty. In terms of methodology, the
paper relies on an explanatory design and some empirical data generated through secondary sources and official documents were examined. The data were analysed using a descriptive method of analysis. The paper identified the relevance of Malthus theory on the bourgeoning population explosion on the following key areas: Food Security;
Poverty Rate; Urbanization; crimes and Security Threat. After examination of official documents and secondary data, the paper concludes that population explosion has continued to undermine the achievement of development’s goals in Nigeria. A population growing faster than the output of modern goods and services not only
