Skripsi ini berjudul: MENGUPAYAKAN KATEKESE TENTANG KITAB SUCI DALAM KEHIDUPAN KOMUNITAS LEKTOR DI PAROKI SANTO ANTONIUS KOTABARU YOGYAKARTA. Tujuan penulisan skripsi ini adalah memberikan sumbangan pemikiran kepada para pembina iman dalam mengembangkan katekese tentang Kitab Suci dalam kehidupan komunitas lektor di Paroki St. Antonius Kotabaru Yogyakarta. Selain itu, memberikan inspirasi bagi anggota komunitas lektor agar semakin menghayati tugas pelayanan dan peranannya sebagai penyampai Sabda Allah dalam perayaan liturgi.
Judul skripsi ini bertitik tolak dari realita yang menunjukkan suatu masalah.
Di satu pihak anggota komunitas lektor di Paroki St. Antonius Kotabaru sebagai penyampai Sabda dalam perayaan liturgi. Tetapi di lain pihak mereka belum memiliki kebiasaan membaca dan mendengarkan Kitab Suci dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Berdasarkan realita tersebut maka persoalan mendasar yang digeluti dalam skripsi ini adalah bagaimana mengajak mereka agar memiliki kebiasaan membaca, merenungkan dan menghayati Kitab Suci dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sehingga mereka semakin menghayati tugasnya sebagai penyampai Sabda dalam perayaan liturgi.
Permasalahan tersebut diolah dalam lima bab dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-analisis yang memanfaatkan studi pustaka, observasi dan wawancara. Bab I adalah pendahuluan yang menguraikan latar belakang penulisan, rumusan permasalahan, tujuan penulisan, manfaat penulisan, metode penulisan dan sistematika penulisan. Bertitik tolak dari Bab I, Bab II berjudul “peranan lektor sebagai penyampai Sabda Allah bagi umat beriman”. Bab ini menguraikan lektor sebagai penyampai Sabda Allah, peranan Kitab Suci bagi lektor dan peranan Kitab Suci bagi umat beriman. Sedangkan, pada Bab III, penulis membicarakan mengenai komunitas lektor di Paroki St. Antonius Kotabaru memaknai Kitab Suci dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Bab ini membahas tentang gambaran umum komunitas lektor dan penelitian peranan Kitab Suci dalam kehidupan komunitas lektor di Paroki St.
Antonius Kotabaru. Kemudian Bab IV, penulis memaparkan katekese tentang Kitab Suci dalam kehidupan komunitas lektor di Paroki St. Antonius Kotabaru Yogyakarta.
Bab ini membahas mengenai gambaran umum katekese, upaya menggali makna Kitab Suci dalam kehidupan melalui katekese, arah dasar katekese, model katekese dan usulan program katekese. Dan Bab V adalah penutup, penulis mengambil kesimpulan dan saran.
viii ABSTRACT
The title of this thesis is HOW TO DO BIBLICAL CATECHESIS IN THE LECTORS’ COMMUNITY OF SAINT ANTHONY PARISH, YOGYAKARTA. The goal of the thesis is to help Christian to develop their faith in the biblical catechesis of the lectors’ community of St. Anthony parish, Yogyakarta.
Besides that, the thesis wants to give some inspiration to the members of the lectors’
community how to fulfill their ministry and function as witness of the Word of God in the liturgical celebration.
The title of the thesis based on the reality of the life of the community, which shows that there is a problem. On the one side as members of the lectors’
community they deliver to the Word of God in liturgy; on the other hand they are not used to read and listen to the Bible in their daily life. On the basis of this concrete situasion, the main problem discussed in this thesis is the question, how to get them to develop a habit of reading, meditating and living the Holy Scripture in their daily life, so that they experience their ministry as a witness to the Word of God.
This problem is discussed in five chapters, using a descriptive-analytical method, which means library research, observation and interview. The first chapter is an introduction, which gives some information about the back-ground, a description of the problem itself, the goal of the thesis and its usefulness, and the method and systematic used. Starting from the first chapter, the title of chapter two is “The function of the lector as deliver of the Word of God to the faithful”. This chapter discusses the role of the lector as deliver of the Word of God and the meaning of Scripture for the faithful. What the meaning of Scripture in daily life is for the community of lectors in the St. Anthony parish, is discussed in the third chapter. This chapter tries to show what the community of lectors in St Anthony parish is, and how they reflect upon the role of Scriptures in the life of the lectors’
community. This chapter gives a general picture of catechesis, of the endeavor to find the meaning of Scripture in daily life through catechesis, the direction of this catechesis, a model and a proposal for a catechetical program. In chapter five, which is the last, the writer gives her conclusion and suggestion.
