Preface
Indonesian Journal of Cancer Chemoprevention (IJCC) is an Indonesian leading journal in cancer chemoprevention with international level. We publish all aspects of cancer chemoprevention, including experimental and clinical pharmacology, cancer detections and also applications of stem cell technology, immunology research, in vitro and in silico exploration on chemoprevention mechanisms, screening of natural (plants, marine natural products, etc.) and synthetic chemopreventive agents, cultivation of chemopreventive plants and development of herbal dosage forms for chemoprevention, and development of herbal cosmetics formulation.
This issue contains various six article related to the development of plants' compound as the source of chemoprevention agent. Anjarsari et al explored the Cinnamon Essential Oil from Cinnamomum burmannii in the combination with Doxorubicin. The study showed the synergistic effect of the agent and induce the apoptosis on T47D. Da'i et al conduct the study on the five extract of Rhizome from Zingiberaceae family to correlate between total phenolic content of the extract with their radical scavenging activity. Other study on Cantella asiatica water extract was done by Hamid et al which showed that the extract inhibit the angiogenesis on chick embryo chorioallantoic membrane induced by bFGF. An interesting study also was done by Rohmah et al which showed that the ethanolic extract pericarp of Garcinia mangostana Linn. perform cytotocic activity and induce the apoptosis through in vitro and in silico experiment. In this issue, the in vivo experiment were done by Shabrina et al on the antiosteoporosis potency of Caesalpinia sappan L., and also Adelina et al which reported the potency of Annona muricata leaves ethanolic extract to enhance p53 expression in rat hepatic cells induced by DMBA.
We wish to thank the authors contributed in this issue. Editors encourage other researchers to explore more combination chemotherapy agent and molecular mechanisms, and published the articles in IJCC.
