Admission in Master's and Ph.D. Programmes at Bihar Veterinary College (BVC), Patna and Master's Programme at Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Dairy Technology (SGIDT), Patna and College of Fisheries (CoF), Kishanganj will be made on the basis of score/merit obtained in ICAR-AIEEA (PG) -2022 & ICAR- AICE- JRF/SRF (Ph.D.)-2022 examination conducted by ICAR for the academic session 2022-23. Eligibility Criteria for admission in M.V.Sc. Degree Programme:

a. A candidate should possess a basic under graduate degree i.e. B.V.Sc. & A.H. in the subject concerned.

b. A candidate should possess Bachelor's Degree in the concerned subject with minimum of 60%

marks in aggregate or an OGPA of 6 out of 10 in a 10 point scale and 55% in aggregate or an OGPA of 5.5 out of 10 for SC/ST candidates.

c. Candidates who are undergoing internship programme of Bachelors’ Degree are also eligible to apply provisionally for admission subject to submission of course completion certificate clearly mentioning the expected date of completion of Bachelor Degree Programme duly issued by the competent authority. Date of completion of internship/ Bachelor Degree Programme must be on or before commencement of Academic Session i.e. 11.04.2023. However, he/she must have final result with required OGPA, Provisional Degree Certificate and Transcript on or before the date of Admission/Registration.

d. Candidate should have qualified the ICAR-AIEEA (PG) examination 2022 conducted by ICAR.

e. Admission to Master Degree Programme is open for the Domicile of Bihar state only.

a. Selection of candidate will be made on the basis of ICAR-AIEEA (PG) 2022 score in order of merit. The candidates will have to opt the subject at the time of counselling based on availability of seat and reservation policy of Government of Bihar.

b. Merit list shall be prepared for the candidates who apply for admission.

c. In case of a tie of score, performance at Bachelor's Degree level examination forms the criteria. If performance at the degree level is also equal, then seniority in the age would determine the priority.

a. The minimum qualification for admission to the Ph.D. Programme shall be Master's Degree in the subject concerned with at least 70% marks in aggregate or OGPA 7.0/10.0 at the Master's level and is relaxable up to 65% marks in aggregate or OGPA 6.5 out of 10.0 for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.

b. A Candidate who is appearing in the Master’s Degree Examination may also apply provisionally with score card for admission. However, he/she must have final result with required OGPA and Provisional Degree Certificate as well as Transcript on or before the date of counseling.

c. A candidate can apply for admission to only one subject. No change would be allowed.

d. Admission to Ph.D Programme is open for the Domicile of Bihar state only.

Admission Procedure:

Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of ICAR-AICE- JRF/SRF (Ph.D.)-2022 score in order of merit in the concerned subject following the reservation policy of Government of Bihar and counselling by the University.

a. Selection will be made on the basis of merit list based on the scores of candidates in ICAR- AICE- JRF/SRF (Ph.D)-2022.

c. In case of a tie of Marks, performance at Post Graduate level examination will form the criteria. If performance at Master’s level is also equal, then their age would determine the priority.

(B) Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Dairy Technology, Patna

Note :

1. The University reserves the right to make addition or deletion in number of seats without any notice.

2. The category wise distribution of seats would be as per the reservation policy of Govt. of Bihar.

General instruction for reservation:

Rules regarding filling of vacant seats in reserved category shall be followed as per Govt. of Bihar Reservation Act No 16 of 2003 for admission in educational institution.

A. Reserved category candidates who is selected on the basis of his/her merit, shall be counted against the vacancies in the open merit category and not against the reserved category vacancies.

B. No other reservation shall be made except reservation percentage granted by the concerned educational institute and amended of reservation percentage granted by them from time to time for the candidates out of Bihar.

C. Reserved seats left vacant due to non-availability of concerned reserved category candidates shall be filled in the following manner:-

 Exchange shall be possible between the Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribes.

 Exchange shall be possible between the Extremely Backward Classes and Backward Classes.

 After having completed the procedure contained above, if the required seats are not filled up then candidate belonging to unreserved category shall be admitted against such vacant seats.

 In case of non-availability of suitable candidates for the reserved seats for women of Backward classes, the vacancies shall be filled in order of preferences as follows:-

 By the candidates of the Schedule Castes.

 By the candidates of the Schedule Tribes.

 By the candidates of the Extremely Backward Classes.

 By the candidates of the Backward Classes.

How To Apply: Candidates are informed to fill the application form in CAPITAL LETTERS only and submit it to The Registrar, Bihar Animal Sciences University, Bihar Veterinary College Campus, Patna- 800014 along with self-attested copies of educational certificates, supporting documents as per Appendix–I and proof of payment so as to reach on or before the last date.

General instruction for Admission:

A. Certificates required with Application Form: -

1. Certificate of having passed the qualifying examination along with copy of the marks- sheet/transcript of all the examinations passed.

2. Matriculation certificate as proof of age.

3. Domicile certificate issued by the competent authority.

4. Copy of score card ICAR-AIEEA (PG) 2022 / ICAR-AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) 2022 (As applicable).

5. Certificate of Character from the Head of last Institution attended and also another one from a Gazetted Officer or a College or University teacher not related to the candidate, but intimately known to the candidate.

6. Certificate of Physical fitness from a Registered Medical Practitioner.

7. The candidates under reserved category, i.e. EWS, BC, EBC, WBC, SC, ST and Divyang shall attach the Caste certificate in the prescribed format issued by a competent authority in support of their claim without which their claim will not be considered.

For EWS Candidates: Certificate of Economically Weaker Sections and not possessing any of the assets mentioned in rule 3(2) of The Bihar Reservation in vacancies in posts and services and in Admissions in the Educational Institutions for (Economically Weaker Sections) Act, 2019 will be issued by District Magistrate / Sub – Divisional Magistrate / Circle Officer concerned in the prescribed format.

For PWD/Divyang Candidates: Disability Certificate in prescribed performa issued by the Civil Surgeon / Medical Board indicating the nature and extent (including percentage) of Physical Disability in support of their claim for admission against reserved quota for PwD.

B. Certificates required at the time of Counseling:

On the date of counseling, the registered candidate is required to appear in person along with their relevant documents in original as given below:-

1. A photocopy of the filled in application form.

2. All required certificates / documents in original and three set of photocopy duly self-attested [Transcript / Marks sheet and Degree of 10th, 12th, Graduation, Post-Graduation (for Ph.D.

Programme) or equivalent showing date of birth/age] (See Appendix - I).

3. Domicile certificate issued by the competent authority.

4. Bring original score card ICAR-AIEEA (PG) 2022 / ICAR-AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) 2022 (As applicable).

5. AADHAR Card.

6. Certificate of Character from the Head of last Institution attended and also another one from a Gazetted Officer or a College or University teacher not related to the candidate, but intimately known to the candidate.

7. 06 sets of recent passport size color photographs.

8. The candidates under reserved category, i.e. EWS, BC, EBC, WBC, SC, ST and Divyang shall produce the certificate in the prescribed format issued by a competent authority in support of their claim without which their claim will not be considered.

For EWS Candidates: Certificate of Economically Weaker Sections and not possessing any of the assets mentioned in rules 3(2) of The Bihar Reservation in vacancies in posts and services and in Admissions in the Educational Institutions for (Economical Weaker Sections) Act,

9. The candidates enjoying employed status and selected for admission to any programme of study in the University, are required to produce LEAVE SANCTION /RELIEVING ORDER AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION/REGISTRATION from their employer for the duration of the programme permitting them to pursue their studies at the University, failing which the offer of admission shall stand withdrawn. In case of any dispute the decision of the University shall be final.

10. The admission of candidate who has passed his/her qualifying examination from a Foreign University will be subject to his/her qualification being found equivalent to the qualifications prescribed by the University.

11. Any candidate failing to appear in the counseling shall not be considered for admission. No TA/DA is admissible for appearing in the counseling.

C. General Instructions:

1. The admission of any candidate is liable to be cancelled without giving any further notice forthwith or at any time during the period of the concerned course of study; if it is found that the candidate has/had produced fake/forged certificate(s)/documents(s), indulged in any act of misconduct/indiscipline and has/had concealed any other relevant information at the time of seeking admission.

2. The selected candidates have to submit the surety bond in prescribed performa at the time of Registration/Admission.

3. The selected candidates must have to submit the undertaking regarding not to indulge in any kind of raging and other indisciplinary activities at the time of Registration/Admission.

4. The admission of the candidate to the concerned Course of Study shall be subject to such ordinances, rules and regulations as framed time to time by the University.

5. The Category (UR/EWS/BC/EBC/WBC/SC/ST/PwD) declared by the candidate in application form will be final. No subsequent change will be allowed. Reservation of seats shall be given as per the Policy of the Government of Bihar.

6. Only the Hon'ble High Court of Patna shall have the jurisdiction in case of any dispute relating to the provisional admission.

7. Candidates are advised to regularly keep visiting the University website for latest updates.
