The College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology, AAU, Godhra and Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers Anand Chapter jointly organized “Engineer’s Day, 2023” on 15th September, 2023 at CAET, AAU, Godhra. Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvarayya’s birthday is celebrated as Engineer’s Day on September 15 every year in India. The program started with lighting of lamp by Dr. R. Subbaiah, Principal and Dean, CAET, AAU, Godhra and Dr. Pankaj Gupta, Prof. & Head, Deptt. of FMPE and Vice Chairman, ISAE Anand Chapter along with all HoD’s and other dignitaries present in the function.
Dr. Neeraj Seth, Assistant Professor, Deptt. of PFE & Additional Secretary, ISAE Anand Chapter welcomed all the dignitaries on the dais, all HoD’s, faculty, staff members and students of the college present in the function and also all executive members of ISAE Anand Chapter joined online. Dr. Pankaj Gupta briefed about ISAE and its activities to the students and encouraged them to become members of the society.
On this occasion, organized an expert lecture on “Drone Technology for futuristic Agriculture in India” by Dr. Sachin Nalawade, Professor & Head, MPKV, Rahuri having expertise in drone technology used in agriculture.
Dr. R. Subbaiah, delivered his speech on “The Truth: Gujarat degree of unemployment” in which he highlighted the reasons for decline of students towards engineering field and also, discussed the solutions and policies to be made to increase the employment of engineering students in general and agricultural engineering students in specific.
Dr. R. C. Salunkhe, Assistant Professor, Deptt. of FMPE and Chairman, SRC delivered vote of thanks to all who were present in the function and also in online mode from Anand, Jabugam, Dahod, Dediyapada & Dantiwada and all who contributed for making the function successful. The programme ended by singing the National Anthem.
