ashmi Ranjan Rout was born in India on 19th May, 1977. He obtained his Bachelor in Engineering (B. E.) in Computer Science and Engineering from F.M. University, Odisha, India and subsequently Masters of Technology (M. Tech.) with specialization in Computer Science and Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, India. Since January 2009, he is an Institute Research Scholar in the G. S. Sanyal School of Telecommunications, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. Recently, he has joined as an Assistant Professor in the department of computer science and engineering at NIT Warangal, AP, India. His research interests include data routing, network coding based forwarding in Wireless Ad-hoc and Sensor Networks. He has been a reviewer of Journal of Ad-hoc Networks (elsevier), IEEE communication letters, Journal of Personal Area Communications (Springer), IET Wireless Sensor Systems.
