Curriculum Vitae
The author of this thesis, Mangam Venu, was born in June 1972 in D. Kumudavalli (village), West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, India. He received his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Mechanical Engineering from the Andhra University, Vishakapatnam, India in 1996 and Master of Technology (M. Tech) in Foundry – Forge Technology from National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology (NIFFT), Ranchi, India in 1998. To his credits he has qualified GATE in 2006 and also received scholarship from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi;
Government of India during his research tenure.
The author has worked as a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Jatipita College of Engineering, Adilabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. The author is currently working as a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Swami Ramananda Tirtha Institute of Science and Technology, Nalgonda, Andhra Pradesh, India, since 2001. He joined the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, in July 2006, as a doctoral student. He is a life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and Indian Institute of Metals (IIM). He has participated in several workshops, seminars and presented papers in conferences.
