Concept Note

Administration of Justice is the first promise of our Constitution. In order to achieve this promise, various stakeholders, including courts, police, defence counsels, prosecution and correctional administration have been established. However, when we speak of criminal justice administration, we mean the complex decision network devoted to the crime prevention and upholding the social control in our society. The society is in constant change which needs changed and updated legal norms to uphold the rule of law. The criminal justice system in our country is 160 years old legacy of British hegemony. The existing criminal justice delivery system is not adequate enough to meet the needs of changing society. The system calls for its overhaul.

In light of this prologue, the two day national online seminar aims to provide a podium (virtual and otherwise) to the scholars of law to share their intellectual thoughts with the various stakeholders for efficient justice delivery system.
