Written test will be held on November 10, 2022 during 11:00-12:00 hrs in the Department of Physics (Room No.122A). A candidate need to score more than 50% in written test to qualify for appearing in the personal interview (PI).
Personal Interview will be held on November 10, 2022 2 PM onwards.
The detailed guideline for the candidates are attached herewith for further reference.

Guidelines for PhD applicants
1. The Examination will be held in two parts. A written test followed by a personal interview (PI) for the candidates who qualifies the written test.
2. The Research Eligibility Entrance Test (RET) comprises of (i) Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ)/Short/Long Answer Type Questions on (i) Research Methodology/Research Aptitude, and (ii) Subject domain.
3. Both the written test and PI will be conducted in offline mode.
4. Written test will be held on November 10, 2022, during 11:00-12:00 hrs. The candidates are expected to report at least before 15 mins of commencement of the examination.
5. In the descriptive part of written test, the candidates are to attempt questions related to his/her research field of interest. The choice will be considered final.
6. PI will be held on November 10, 2022 2 PM onwards. The qualified candidate for PI will be informed by 1.30 PM. During PI, the candidates are expected to make a 5 minutes presentation in front of departmental research committee (DRC) on their propose research proposal.
7. For any dispute/ controversy, decision of DRC will be final.
