NOTIFICATION
It is for information of all concerned that on the recommendation of University Admission Committee, the Vice Chancellor, Assam University has approved the following guidelines for filling of the vacancies in admission to PG and Ph.D courses:
1. The last date for P.G & Ph.D admissions-2021 shall be 20.01.2022. Resolutions pertaining to Ph.D admission 2021 are in addition to the e mail dated 26.12.2021 sent by the Registrar, AUS.
2. Category-wise seat vacancy in PG Courses, if any, will be filled either through 1"
drive merit-lists or 2nd drive, followed by swapping of seats within 20 January 2022. Department (s) has the option to choose, as per the decision taken through
DAC
3. Those opting to fill-up the seat (s) in PG Courses through 1" drive merit lists (3"/4
etc.) can swap without 2" drive.
4. Departments willing to offer 2 drive after 2" merit list of 1 drive can go for
swapping only after admitting candidates of 1 merit-list of 2 drive.
5. Department (s) swapping the PG 1" drive seats will not be able to avail 2 drive
option.
6. Department (s) will communicate their willingness along with a proposal showing
category-wise vacancy and time schedule to Mr. Sobhan Kumar Bedajna, System Analyst (Exam.) for further course of action following the modus operandi as applicable to 1 drive.
