The white wall near Deshbandhu
College no longer stands plain and tall. It's a colourful deterrent to the thousands who urinate, smoke and pollute the area on a daily basis.
Heeding the invitation of the Commanding Officer of the 4 Delhi Bn NCC on observance of SWACHHTA SAMAROH, the NCC cadets of Deshbandhu College on 23rd September 2018 did the cleaning of the Bus stand at Kalkaji, New Delhi.
Twenty one students armed with cleaning materials swept the bus stand . The main idea of the cleaning drive was to make the people aware of the need to maintain the surroundings clean.
The noble works of the NCC cadets was highly appreciated by the municipal board of Delhi who encouraged the students to continue with the cleanliness campaign.
Other programmes that have been planned to celebrate the occasion are awareness programme, rally, seminar, workshop, cleanliness of the college campus and the war monument at Delhi which is adopted by the NCC cadets of the college.
