Admission into the B.Tech. (Agril. Engineering) & B. Tech. (Food Technology) courses under MPC Stream (Farmer’s Quota) during AY 2019-20

Eligibility criteria:

All the below mentioned four conditions are to be fulfilled to be eligible to apply under Farmer’s Quota.

1. A pass in two-year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Intermediate Board with the following subjects namely:

i. Physical Sciences ii. Mathematics

2. FORM-I: It is a proforma to be certified by the Head Master of the school with his office seal that the candidate has studied for a minimum period of four years in schools/colleges located in Non-Municipal areas during their period of study from 1st class to 12th class / Intermediate (Non-Municipal Area Study Certificate) (to be uploaded).

3. FORM-II: The candidates coming from families of Agriculturists (Farmers) owning not less than One acre of land either in the name of the parents or in the name of the candidate and who have studied for a minimum of 4 years up to Intermediate or its equivalent in Non-Municipal areas only are eligible. If the land is owned by grandfather, grandmother or guardian or any other relatives, it is not acceptable. The proforma indicating the patta numbers and extent of agricultural land owned by the candidate / parents duly certified by the Tahsildar with his office seal (or) the candidate has to upload attested photocopies of pattadar pass book as evidence of ownership of agricultural land (to be uploaded).

4. The selection of candidates for all the seats shall be made on the basis of ranks obtained by the candidates in Telangana State EAMCET-2019 in their respective local areas out of the merit list prepared for this purpose duly following the rule of reservation.

*Both Form-I and Form-II need to be uploaded, otherwise the claim of the candidates under this category will be summarily rejected.

Age:

 Candidates for admission into this course in the University shall be required to have completed 17 years of age with an upper age limit of 22 years as on 31st December, 2019.

The upper age limit in respect of SC and ST candidates shall be 25 years, while for Physically Challenged candidates it shall be 27 years as on 31st December, 2019.

Reservation of Seats:

Defence Personnel (CAP) : 2%

National Cadet Corps (NCC) : 1%

Games & Sports : 0.5%

Physically Challenged:

Visually Handicapped : 1%

Hearing Impaired : 1%

Orthopedically Handicapped : 1%

Among the seats available for admission into B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) and B.Tech. (Food Technology) of the University, 3% are reserved for the Physically Handicapped / Challenged candidates. The candidate seeking the benefit of the reservation should present himself/herself before a Selection Committee comprising of Residential Medical Officer, Specialists in the concerned fields of medicine and Deans of Faculty, which shall examine the suitability of the candidates to the course based on their degree of disability which shall be based on their performance in the screening tests and the decision of the committee shall be final for the purpose of admission.

Reservation of seats for Women

 In each course, 33 % of the seats shall be reserved in favour of women candidates from each category.

Allocation of seats

 85% of the seats are reserved for local candidates and 15% of seats are un-reserved.

Hostel facility

 Hostel facility shall be provided subject to availability of accommodation.

Original certificates to be produced at the time of Counselling:

SSC Memorandum of Marks or Equivalent Examination Certificate, showing the evidence of the Date of Birth.

Pass Certificate cum Memorandum of Marks obtained by the applicant in the qualifying examination (Intermediate (10+2) or its Equivalent Examination).

Telangana State EAMCET-2019 Hall Ticket and Rank Card.

Bonafide / Study Certificate from 6th to 12th Class.

Transfer Certificate.

Residential Certificate.

The latest certified copy of the Social Status Certificate issued by the competent authority in case of applicants belonging to Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

Non-Municipal Area Study Certificate (Form-I).

Agricultural Land Holding Certificate (Form-II).

Physically Challenged Certificate.

National Cadet Corps (NCC) Certificate.

Sports and Games Certificates.

Children of Armed Personnel Certificate / Defence Personnel Certificate.

NOTE:

The guidelines of the Government of Telangana from time to time shall be followed.

15% of seats in B.Tech.(Agricultural Engineering) under ICAR Quota will be filled up by ICAR through the online counselling based on ranks obtained in UG-AIEEA-2019 Examination conducted at national level. The leftover seats will not be filled up by the University.

The certificates of the candidates under special categories (PH, CAP, NCC & SPORTS) shall be verified by the authorities concerned.

 The Counselling under special categories (PH, CAP, NCC & SPORTS) will be held in the presence of authorities concerned.

Fees once paid to the University shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

If a candidate cancels his/her admission, he/she must pay the prescribed cancellation fee.

 Candidates called for counselling will have to attend at their own cost only. One of the Parents / Guardian of the candidate shall be allowed for counselling.

 The candidate who secures a seat, should submit the certificates in Original along with the prescribed fees at the time of counselling itself.

The University does not guarantee any employment to the candidates.

 Candidates are informed that mere submission of an online application and attending for counselling does not guarantee the allotment of seat.

 In case, the information furnished or the certificates uploaded by the candidates are found to be false, the University will take appropriate action against the individuals concerned and his/her application will be summarily rejected.

Candidates are required to read the PROSPECTUS thoroughly before applying.
