Course outcome: The expected outcomes are that students will know how to handle animals and know about various techniques for screening drugs for different pharmacological activities, guidelines and regulations for screening new drug molecules on animals. Definition of cosmetics as per Indian and EU regulations, Evolution of cosmetics from cosmetics, cosmetics as quasi and OTC drugs.

Principles of formulation and building blocks in skin care products: Face cream, Moisturizing cream, Cold cream, Vanishing cream and their advantages and disadvantages.
