Empirical results show that in Latin American and non-OECD countries, energy concentration leads to increased CO2 emission intensity, while in Asian and OECD countries, it is the superior level of carbon factors that results in intensity. advanced CO2 emission. . However, in the long term, it is economic factors that have an impact on carbon prices such as the supply of CDM and JI credits, economic growth, uncertainty about future policies and the overall distribution of carbon credits. If countries around the globe acknowledge and accept their responsibility to keep the environment clean and continue doing business along with being environmentally responsible, the carbon trading business will undoubtedly have a bright future. The results show that there is a co-integrating relationship between futures and spot prices of carbon emission reductions (CERs), traded on the MCX.

Manufacturing Flexibility Frameworks

Chandra et al.14 showed the importance of flexibility in an enterprise and they showed the benefits of flexibility at the enterprise level. From the prominent literature review, it is clear that the various researchers have shown the applicability of flexibility in industrial application. Environmental uncertainty, strategy, required manufacturing flexibility; methods for delivering flexibility and performance measurement are the five main variables in his framework for achieving flexibility in the system.

However, although there is broad agreement among researchers and practitioners on the importance of flexibility in the manufacturing context, perceptions of flexibility vary. The article discusses the concept of flexibility, which provides a clear understanding of flexibility to the researchers and practitioners. The power supply was poor and most of the companies faced power crises and therefore used alternative power source or power backup which was largely a generator. Most of the companies have neither evaluated employee performance nor applied benchmarking in any area.

Claiming our Humanity – Managing in the Digital Age

Background

The current predominantly technocratic and overly rationalistic management mindset is leading us in the wrong direction by discounting the value of human capital with its inherent unique capabilities and potential. In his recent HBR article, Michael Porter points to a secular opportunity in the area of smart, connected products that he believes will usher in the next era of IT-driven productivity growth. Management will have to live up to its calling as society's most important leadership group as posited by Peter Drucker and help shape the way to an era of global prosperity fueled by the innovative and transformative power of digital technology - which ultimately puts humans at the center of all efforts.

Key Questions

As demonstrated by leading management thinkers such as Clayton Christensen, William Lazonik, Dominic Barton, and Roger Martin, short-term measurement leads to misallocation of capital favoring short-term efficiency at the expense of market-creating innovation and long-term growth. Carlota Perez argues in her book Technological Revolutions and Financial Capital that the ICT revolution has not yet produced a "Golden Age" - as she had identified in previous technological cycles;.
