Walk in Interview for the Post of Research Associate under Information Technology Research Academy (ITRA) sponsored project,

Applicants are invited to appear in a walk-in-interview on 15th February, 2017 for 1 (one) post of Research Associate in the ITRA (GOI) funded consortium project entitled “ImageIDGP: Image based systems for identification of Individuals, Breeds and Diseases of Pigs and Goats” with Prof. Sankar Kumar Ghosh as Principal Investigator (now on lien) and Dr. Yashmin Choudhury, as Co-Principal Investigator for a period of 2 (two) years. The post carries a consolidated emolument of Rs 35,000/- per month and is purely temporary. The incumbent will be governed by the Administrative rules/service conditions of Assam University/ITRA, during the tenure of the project.
Candidates are requested to come with complete bio-data, original certificates, mark sheets and other relevant documents at the Department of Biotechnology, Assam University, Silchar on the (date of Interview) at 12.00 noon.
Requisite qualification:
Ph.D. in Biotechnology/Life Science/Veterinary Science/Zoology (preferably in the field of Genomics) with good academic records/research impacted publication as well as technical skill in Molecular Biology like DNA Sequencing, Sequence analysis and Phylogenetic analysis, Real time PCR, etc.
Relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC/Minorities as per Govt. rules.
Note: (i) No TA/DA will be paid for their appearing in the interview.
