1. Exam Requirements

Students applying to enter as a mid-year transfer in 2016 or Students applying to enter the school on April 1st, 2017

*Cut off date for 3rd year high school students is in September As a general rule, you must fit one of the following descriptions.

(1) Those who are returning from having spent over one year abroad, or are planning to return home. *Transfer is available 6months after passing the exam.

(2) Those who are in multilingual environment.

(3) Those who are non-Japanese foreigners

(4) Non-Japanese foreigners who can legally stay in the country for more than 1 year.

(5) Those who are currently attending an international school in Japan.

(6) Those who are returned from having spent more than 10 months studying abroad.

*For those students applying as sixth year elementary school students or third year junior high school students, it is assumed that the students will be entering junior high or senior high school at Keimei as well, respectively.

2. Exam Schedule

Applicants are accepted throughout the year, and the entrance exam is offered many times on specific dates. For more infor- mation, please check our website.

3. Application Process

(1) School Tours and Information Sessions

Please contact us in order to request tour dates.

(2) Application Consultation Appointment

Before submitting the application, you must attend a consultation appointment. We will review the exam qualifications and procedures, as well as go over the application documents. Applicants are required to come in person to the school with their parents or guardians. After the consultation appointment, the application may be submitted. Please contact us in order to make an appointment.

*Residence certificate from the parent or guardian’s place of employment on the specific format must be submitted when the returnee applicants pass the exam. If you need the format in advance, please ask.

Recommendation form placed in a sealed envelope from a teacher at the school of current enrollment.

School Records

Copies of official transcripts and report cards of the school that the applicant has been attending for the past 3 years. For those who have attended Japanese lan- guage supplementary school, please provide transcripts of the last three years.

Others

・Additional qualifications, such as other testimonials

・A copy of the TOEFL result paper instead of having to take a written test

・For foreign students, proof of status of residence and valid passport

(3) Entrance Exam

On the day of the exam, applicants must bring an admission ticket, writing utensils, indoor slippers, and a lunch if necessary.

Junior High School and Senior High School You may select one of the following tests to take.

(4) Post-exam Procedure

We will email applicants concerning the results on the exam date.

(5) Post-acceptance Procedure

・Please complete the admission procedures at the school office within the predetermined pre-enrollment period.

・The necessary documents include the exam admission ticket, as well as the enrollment fee (Elementary School and Junior High School ¥260,000/ Senior High School ¥300,000).

・If the application process is not completed within the designated timeframe, then the application will be declined. Please note that if the application is declined after the submission, then the enrollment fee as well as the submitted documents will not be returned.

(6) Pre-enrollment Orientation

After students have been accepted but before the actual enrollment date, students will be required to attend a school orientation, which will provide a detailed explanation of school life. Any questions the applicant has can be answered at this time.

(7) Starting Date

The start date for transferring students is flexible, but it must be within six months of passing the entrance exam.

English Language Test

English written exam(70 min for Junior High, 120 min for Senior High)Students who have received TOEFL qualification will be exempt from this portion. English essay 40 min, Japanese essay or Japanese language test 40 min, English and Japanese interviews

Japanese Japanese 50 min, Math 50 min, English 50 min and Japanese interview

Foreign Language Test

Foreign language essay 40 min, Japanese essay or Japanese language test 40 min, English and foreign lan- guage interviews

*We will tailor the test accordingly for students whose first language is something other than English or Japanese.

*Elementary school admission test starts from 9:00a.m. to 12:00p.m.

4. Tuitions and Other Payments

(1) Entrance fee and other fees (only at entrance)

(2) Tuition and Included Fees

The following fees, including tuition, should be paid by direct debit after enrollment. Tuition and other fees can either be paid all at once or can be made in nine installments over the course of the year. If the student enrolls in the middle of the school year, tuition will be collected in monthly installments. However, facility costs, heating and air costs, etc, are not included in the monthly installments.
