현재 반달가슴곰 복원 사업은 개체군 크기가 증가 했으며, 출산과 분산이 안정적으로 일어나고 있다는 점에서 미루어 보아 완벽히 성공 적이라고 볼 수 있음
한국에서 반달가슴곰의 서식범위를 늘림으로써, 장기적으로 보았을 때 동북아 전체의 개체군이 다시 연결될 수 있고, 따라서 병목 현상으로 인한 멸종을 방지할 수 있다는 데에서 큰 의의가 있음
또한 잡식성인 반달가슴곰을 복원하므로써 현재 한국에서 문제가 되고 있는 고라니 등 자연적으로 개체수 조절이 되지 않고 있는 초식동물에 의한 피해가 완화 될 수 있을 것으로 사료됨참고문헌
