Ⅲ CHAPTER
2) Training for In-company Trainer and HRD staff
HRD Korea establishes and finalizes contract agreements with Korea tech institute of training education, for the training of in-company trainers.
Moreorver, HRD staff also manages composition of education program, supervision of candidate and operation of programs.
In-company trainer are required to take a course within a month after company selection and HRD staff must complete the course before the training program is developed. Generally, financial support applies only to one in-company trainer and one HRD staff, per company. However, training cost of an in-company trainer is flexible according to the number of apprentice. For companies with less than 5 apprentices, support is only given for one in-company trainer; meanwhile companies with more than 6 apprentices are able to get support for two in-company trainers. In the case where an in-company trainer and HRD staff fails to complete training, the company will not receive any financial support for training and program verification.
The training conducted, is centered on the necessary practical training which could increase their competencies as an in-company trainer and HRD staff. The training is divided into two types: online education and collective education, in order to improve quality of education. The training is conducted once or twice every month, in major cities including Seoul, Busan, Dae-gu and Gwang-ju. When there are more demands than usual, more training education is provided.
