Abstract :39 species of South Korean Diplazontinae are reviewed. Until now we confused Korean name of this subfamily. In this study, we suggest new Korean name and provide list of South Korean Diplazontinae and key to genera of Diplazontinae.
Introduction
The subfamily Diplazontinae is a well-studied group of ichneumon wasp, widespread distributed. At present approxi- mately 340 species within 22 genera have been described, most of the species occur in Holarctic and Neotropical regions (Gauld et al. 1997; Townes 1971; Yu et al. 2012). In Eastern Palearctic fauna, Diplazontinae studied particularly.
The Russian Far East fauna of subfamily Diplazontinae was studied by Manukyan (2007). Japanese Diplazontinae were reviewed in several studies (Uchida 1957; Nakanishi 1978, 1979, 1985, 1986) and recorded 45 species from 12 genera.
Only 29 species distributed in seven genera were reported in large territories of China (all reported species were found in Xinjiang) (Chang 2007; Ma et al. 1992; Ma et al. 1993;
Wang et al. 1992). The Korean Diplazontinae were reviewed by Uchida (1930, 1957), Kim (1955), Yang et al. (2006),
Balueva & Lee (2014, 2015, 2016a, b). The current total 39 species within 12 genera of Diplazontinae were known from South Korea.
This subfamily is one of the more easily recognized ichneumonid subfamilies. Diagnostic features include the three-toothed mandibles, the rectangular first tergite, com- paratively short propodeum, short ovipositor, and transverse head (excluding genus Episemura).
The host range of Diplazontinae seems to be very narrow, with all confirmed host records being from the hoverfly subfamily Syrphinae (Diptera, Syrphidae). Except for the two species of the derived genus Bioblapsis Förster, Diplazon- tinae furthermore only attack the aphidophagous species of this group (Fitton & Rotheray, 1982).
In this study, we suggest new Korean name. Checklist of South Korean Diplazontinae, pictures of habitus each species and key to genera of South Korean Diplazontinae are provided.

Materials and Methods
All photographs were obtained using an AxioCam MRc5 camera attached to a stereo microscope (Zeiss SteREO Discovery. V20; Carl Zeiss, Göttingen, Germany), processed using Axio Vision SE64 software (Carl Zeiss), and optimized with a Delta imaging system (i-solution; IMT i-Solution Inc., Vancouver, Canada). All the materials examined are deposited in the Department of Biology, Yeungnam University in Korea.
The terminology for morphological features mostly follows that of Klopfstein (2014). The following is a list of museum and institutions used in the taxonomic revision.

Spiracle of third tergite on epipleurum. Face polished, sometimes weakly punctate, with two vertical impressions between clypeus and antennal socket. Flagellum of male with tyloids Tergites 1–3, each without a postmedian transverse impression ··· Promethes Förster – Spiracle of third tergite on tergite. Face mat, lacking two vertical impressions between clypeus and antennal socket.
Flagellum of male without tyloids. Tergites 1–3, each with a postmedian transverse impression. Hind tibia black with white band medially ··· Diplazon Nees 3. Face polished, or if mat then spiracle of third tergite on epipleurum. Areolet absent ··· 4 – Face mat; spiracle of third abdominal segment on tergite.
Areolet present or absent ··· 6 4. Spiracle of propodeum and first tergite enlarged, with pale
raised margin. Spiracle of second tergite on tergite.
··· Bioblapsis Förster – Spiracle of propodeum and first tergite not enlarged.
Spiracle of second tergite on epipleurum ··· 5 5. Metasoma in female distinctly elongate and strongly compressed, hind edges of tergites 3–8 concave. Face usually lacking two vertical impressions between clypeus and antennal socket ··· Eurytyloides Nakanishi – Metasoma in female not elongate and not compressed, if compressed then hind edges of tergites 3–6 not concave.
Face usually with two vertical impressions between clypeus and antennal socket. ···Sussaba Cameron 6. Tergites 3–7 concave on hind edge. Metasoma elongate, usually projecting noticeably beyond wings. Second tergite (often third and fourth) longer than wide. ··· 7 – Tergites 3–7 truncate or slightly convex on hind edge.
Metasoma usually not elongate. Second tergite usually wider than long, or as long as wide. ··· 8 7. Areolet absent. Metasoma of female depressed.
