Quantitative research is gathering facts and examining the relationship between different sets of information (Thomas, 2009 and Bell, 2010). This method of data collection is appropriate for this study, which seeks to determine the effectiveness of distribution of the elements that influence Generation Y's intention to use e-commerce in Kota Bharu. The questionnaire will be divided into five sections, which are: A, B, C, D, E, F and G. Table 3.3: Contents of the Questionnaire.
After collecting all the information from the respondents, the data will be generated and analyzed using SPSS software. The first step in the data analysis process for this study was to compile all the information obtained from the online survey into an Excel spreadsheet and into SPSS. The purpose of the pilot research is to evaluate the feasibility and comprehensibility of the questionnaire and the approach used with the answers of the respondents in a limited range.
The correlation coefficient is a statistical measure that determines the strength and weakness of the relationship between the dependent and independent variables (Ganti, 2020). In conclusion, the entire Chapter 3 examines each element of the research process used in this study.

According to table 4.3 and figure 4.2, it shows the race of the respondents who are categorized into four groups. According to table 4.5 and figure 4.4, the percentage of religion of the respondents who answered this questionnaire is shown. Based on table 4.6 and figure 4.5 shown above, it can be concluded that the level of education for the respondents which is 101 respondents was SPM which represented about 26.6%.
The mean and standard deviation for Intention to use internet banking are shown in Table 4.9. Deviation Level Statistics Statistics Std. a) The banks provide security level password to help verify the identity of the user. According to the Table 4.11, it shows that the mean and standard deviation for Perceived Use.
In addition, the standard deviation is less than one, indicating that its value is more reliable. Std Deviation Level Statistics Statistics. a) Most Malaysians store their personal information on their laptops and mobile devices.
Validity and Reliability Test
- Pearson Correlation Coefficient

According to the findings, the reliability of this independent variable is good, and the results also show the reliability of all questions. The next independent variable in this research is perceived usefulness, which contains five items to measure the reliability of questionnaires, as shown in Table 4.15. Due to the good consistency and stability of the obtained coefficient for the questions, all the questions used for this variable are valid and reliable.
All the questions investigated in relation to this variable were found to be valid and reliable due to the good consistency and stability of the coefficients created for the questions. The results of the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test were shown in the above table, where all the variables p-values are less than 0.05, indicating statistical significance. As a result, the null hypothesis for each variable was rejected due to the results of the normality tests showing that the data did not follow a normal distribution.
It not only indicates the direction of the relationship between the two variables, but also the magnitude of the association or correlation. According to Table 4.17, the correlation is significant at the 0.01 level; this indicates that there is a one in a hundred chance that the hypotheses will be wrong when put to the test.
Hypothesis Testing
- Hypothesis 1 (Perceived Security)
 - Hypothesis 2 (Perceived Usefulness)
 - Hypothesis 3 (Perceived Ease of Use)
 - Hypothesis 5 (Consumer Trust)

H0: There is no significant relationship between perceived usefulness and intention to use online banking among generation-y in Kota Bharu. H2: There is a significant relationship between perceived usefulness and intention to use online banking among generation-y in Kota Bharu. Based on Table 4.17, the Pearson correlation coefficient result of perceived security has shown 0.655, which means that there is a moderate positive relationship between perceived security and intention to use online banking among generation-y in Kota Bharu.
H0: There is no significant relationship between perceived ease of use and intention to use online banking among generation-y in Kota Bharu. Based on Table 4.17, the Pearson correlation coefficient result for perceived security showed 0.578, which means that there is a moderate positive correlation relationship between the perceived security and intention to use online banking services among generation-y in Kota Bharu. H0: There is no significant relationship between malware attack and intention to use online banking among generation-y in Kota Bharu.
H0: There is no significant relationship between consumer confidence and intention to use online banking services among generation-y in Kota Bharu. Based on Table 4.17, the Pearson correlation coefficient result for perceived security showed 0.616, which means that there is a moderate positive correlation relationship between the perceived security and intention to use online banking services among generation-y in Kota Bharu.
DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION
Introduction
Key Findings
- Hypothesis 1 (Perceived Security)
 - Hypothesis 2 (Perceived Usefulness)
 - Hypothesis 3 (Perceived Ease of Use)
 - Hypothesis 4 (Malware Attack)
 - Hypothesis 5 (Consumer Trust)

H1: There is a significant relationship between perceived security and intention to use online banking among generation y in Kota Bharu. Consequently, this shows that there is a significant relationship between perceived security and intention to use online banking among generation y in Kota Bharu. Consequently, this indicates that there is a significant relationship between perceived usefulness and intention to use online banking among generation y in Kota Bharu.
H3: There is a significant relationship between perceived ease of use and intention to use online banking among generations in Kota Bharu. H4: There is a significant relationship between malware attacks and intention to use online banking among Kota Bharu generations. As a result, it appears that among generations in Kota Bharu, there is a significant relationship between malware attacks and intention to use online banking.
H5: There is a significant relationship between consumer trust and intention to use online banking among generations in Kota Bharu. As a result, this shows that there is a significant relationship between consumer trust and intention to use online banking among generations in Kota Bharu.
Limitation of the Study
Our online banking information could be accessed by a third party if we do not take appropriate security measures. To some extent, this has contributed to the skepticism some shoppers feel about online shopping. In addition, if the bank's server is unavailable, we will not be able to access our accounts.
It may be difficult to determine whether your transaction was successful if the bank's server is down due to a lack of internet connection or poor network quality. Other restrictions related to the Covid-19 scenario include banning face-to-face research methods, such as face-to-face interviews, to minimize interaction that could allow the virus to spread. Because of this limitation, we decided to design an online questionnaire to collect data for the study.
Basically, there are limitations on the variable investigated in this study where there are many other factors that can affect the elements that influence generation Y's propensity to use e-commerce in Kota Bharu. Nevertheless, we only select, intention to use internet banking, perceived security, perceived usability, perceived ease of use, consumer trust and malware attack.
Recommendation and Suggestion for Future Research
On the other hand, to assist respondents with insufficient English or Malay comprehension abilities, the researcher can quickly reveal and explain in different dialects. Because the respondent only answers the questions rather than providing a precise explanation of the research, the entire inquiry process is responded to with awareness and learning. Furthermore, to obtain a favorable response from the respondents, we must first create a pleasant environment for them.
As we may be aware, this built-in studio is in Kelantan, where it is one of Malaysia's top ten rural rated states. This will help us compare the difference more accurately between rural and urban states in Malaysia. Finally, future researchers can conduct research on other e-commerce platforms such as Shopee and Lazada, which is one of the highest rated online sales platforms.
From this they can also compare the rate of users using online banking and transactions to buy clothes and household goods. They can come up with a hypothesis about comparing the influence of online shopping versus using online transactions among netizens.
