- Introduction
The mobile travel guide for budget travelers will provide all the information about the possible destination of the tourists based on the inputs entered by the user himself. This system will help tourists to access information about tourist attractions within the area of the user's choice through a mobile phone anywhere and anytime, without depending on a constant internet connection. The project is developing a mobile travel guide for budget travelers that will facilitate the needs of tourists or travelers in Malaysia, especially backpackers.

LITERATURE REVIEW
Tourism Industry, Backpackers, Internet and Mobile Phone .1 Introduction
- Tourism Industries and Backpackers
The total revenue from tourist arrivals in 2009 is about 53.4 billion. Although the number of international travelers has declined across the globe due to the global crisis as well as the effect of influenza A (HlNl), Malaysia itself still bucks the trend by reporting an increase in the number of international travelers arriving in the county in the first . half of 2009. This implies that some of the travelers like to travel alone, but cannot plan their trips without the help of travel agencies, as stated in [5].
The Internet has grown into one of the most effective ways for travelers to search for information and purchase tourism-related products (Pan, 2003). However, the information gain from the tourism-related websites sometimes does not meet the needs and wants of the travelers. The information provider must therefore understand what information the tourists need at each of the three stages.
In recent years, mobile technology and mobile industries are among the fastest growing penetration rates of mobile use in Malaysia. Recently, with the fastest growing mobile technology and mobile industries along with the advancement of the telecommunication networks like 30 and Wireless, many organizations have taken the opportunity to develop mobile applications that will facilitate all the needs and wants of the travelers whenever they are . go for a holiday Thus, with the design of the system, it is hoped to help travelers especially backpackers in Malaysia to travel easily, but at the same time control their spending of money during the vacation.
The second example of mobile guide application is Malaysia Mobile Guide 1.5.1 which is shown in Figure 2.3 below. Compared to the mobile fravel guide for budget travelers, this application does not focus on the budget or cost of the trips as it only provides a description of Malaysia as well as the POs in Malaysia. Provide rich UI with more flexibility; allowing storage of data using Record Management System (RMS) are the other advantages of using J2ME to design mobile applications.
Introduction
CHAPTER3 METHODOLOGY
The Tlrrowaway prototyping methodology is similar to the prototyping methodology in that they involve the development of prototypes. It is like that because; This prototyping has a relatively thorough analysis phase that is used to gather information and develop ideas for the system concept. Many of the user-suggested features that may not be well understood will be issues that need to be explored by analyzing, designing, and building a design prototype.
Each of the prototypes is used to minimize the risk associated with the system phase by confirming that important issues are understood before the real system is built. In addition, the project development process can be done quickly using this tlrrowaway prototyping. In the development of this current system, Java 2 Platfonn Micro Edition (J2ME) will be used as the platform to design the system.
Another tool or software that will be used to design this mobile application is Record Management System (RMS) which works as a database for my mobile application. Below you will find detailed explanations of the tools and software that will be used in designing the current system. This platform was chosen because I currently use a mobile phone with a Java platform and I can easily test the current system in it.
So, to develop this current system, RMS will be used as storage to store the entire required database.

RESULT AND DISCUSSION
System Architecture
- Processing all the available data and creating a list of possible place that can be visited by the user within the budget set by the user
The size of the budget that the user has set to be spent during the trip. The type or transport that the user wants to use either bus, train or plane. The user must enter these types of data because the system will calculate the estimated expenses that may be spent by the user in a particular mode.
After the user has entered all those inputs, the system will list all possible states with their places of interest that can be visited within the amount of. The user can view the description of the place of interest and mark it as one of his/her destinations. Basically, this stage requires the user to enter all the required information so that the data reading stage can be executed to generate a list of possible places that can be visited by the users within the estimated amount of the budget.
The home screen in Mobile Travel Guide for Budget Travelers prototype displayed the input requested by the system from the user. Once the user has entered all the required inputs (Figure 4.3), the system will then display a list of possible states where the user can visit based on the inputs. After entering all the required inputs, the user has to click on the "'OK" button to proceed to the next screen.
Once the user clicks on ``OK'' button, the system will display a list of suggested states that the user can go to based on the user's input, as shown in Figure 4.4 below.
Budgat !atinltlan
Providing a description about the place of interest to the user
In Figure 4.4, the system displayed a list of possible states where the user can visit based on input inserted by the user as shown in Figure 4.3. If the user selects ··Introduction'' radio button as shown in Figure 4.5, there will be a description about Penang displayed on. If the user selects the "Back" button (Figure 4.6), the system will return to the list of information categories for Penang.
If the user wants to see which low budget hotels are available in Penang, the user should click on the ''Hotel'' radio button. If the user chooses to click on I 51 Island Stay and click on the "Next" button (see figure 4.8), there will be a description of the hotels along with its address, telephone number, as well as the websites of the hotel itself for the user's further information, as shown in figure 4.9. 34;How to go'' menu will describe what possible types of transport the user can take to go to the selected state, which in the example is Penang.
If the user has selected "Bus" as shown in Figure 4.11, there will be a description of the transport along with the transport fee as shown in Figure 4.12. The POI menu will show a list of POIs that are available and can be visited b) users once they are in Penang (Figure 4.13). The user must select one of the points of interest (Refer to Figure 4.14) before the system displays the description of the details about the selected point of interest (Figure 4.15).
The example shows that the user has selected ·'Penang Butterfly Farm' before the system will display detailed information about the place of interest (Figure 4.18).
System Functionality Test
Once the user has finished viewing the information about the states, they can choose whether to go or not. So the system is developed to help the tourists to go whenever they want without facing any money problems. 4 Hotel category- View a next a List of Successfully list of available hotel and Button, available hotel.
6 Place of interest Category Next A list of Successful - View a list of available Button, available place. This paper contributes to the understanding of the travelers or tourists' expectations and needs whenever they go for a vacation. Mobile travel guide for budget travelers is developed to help the travelers especially for backpackers or those who like to go for a spontaneous vacation.
This will be useful for those of you who like to go on spontaneous vacations, because such vacations will bring you a lot of money without our knowledge. Therefore, we hope that the existence of this app will help travelers in Malaysia who love to go on vacation while ensuring that their vacation always ends up within the budget. Improving the user interface where the current system IS using a common interface to entice the user to use the system.
Provide a GPS system to locate the current user's location and guide the user to go to the POls by specifying the route.
