Piper betel Linn (betel vine; family Piperaceae)
important plant in Asia. As the leaves, roots and stems are all used for medicinal purposes, it is also an important medical agent in the various traditional and folk systems of medicine in Southeast Asia countries.
This paper discussed about the uses of Piper betel Linn among Indians in Malaysia. Indians brought their culture of using the Piper-Betel to Malaysia. It has been found that the heart-shaped leave of Piper betel Linn is used in Indians wedding functions, prayers and also as medicine. This research has found that Indians in Malaysia using the Piper-Betel in their daily life widely. Piper-Betel is being used as medicine for everyone.
