ANNEX I – THAILAND – 1 ANNEX I

SCHEDULE OF TARIFF COMMITMENTS THAILAND

HEADNOTES

1. The eight-digit codes of the tariff classification number of Thailand referred to in this Schedule are based on the 2012 version of the ASEAN Harmonised Tariff Nomenclature (AHTN).

2. Tariff lines indicated with “U” in each stage of reduction in this Schedule shall be excluded from any commitment of tariff reduction or elimination.

3. For the purposes of this Schedule:

(a) Unbound, in the Remarks column, means there are no tariff commitments under this Agreement for the particular tariff line for the Party specified in that column; and

(b) ASEAN means the Member States of ASEAN.

4. Products under the tariff lines subject to the Original Equipment Manufacturing (hereinafter referred to as “OEM” in this Schedule) condition shall be eligible for preferential tariff treatment only when being:

(a) imported by manufacturers of motor vehicles classified in the HS headings 87.02 to 87.05, for use in the assembling of such motor vehicles; or

(b) imported by manufacturers of parts and accessories of motor vehicles classified in the HS headings 87.02 to 87.05, for use in the assembling of such parts and accessories to be delivered to manufacturers of such motor vehicles.

The procedure for certification will be administered by the authority designated by Thailand.
