UMS to hold seminar
UNIVERSITI Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and Malaysia Institute of Human Resource Mana- gement (MIHRM) will hold a two-day seminar in Human Capital Management at the UMS gallery on Oct 31 and Nov 1.
Head oft he Training Consultancy Unit of UMS Associate Professor Dr Roselina Ahmad Saufi said the theme of the seminar is Shaping Malaysian Huplan Capital Towards Globalisa- tion.
"The seminar will be declared open by the Minister of Human Resource Datuk Dr Fong Chan Onn at Pacific Sutera on Oct 31. The fol- lowing day will be held at the UMS Gallery, she said in a press conference held at UMS here yesterday.
Jointly organised by the Training Consul- tancy and Services Unit and the School of
Business and Economics, the seminar will focus its objective on directional change of Human Resource Management in the context of Technology and 'globalisation.
She said the seminar would also enhance the importance of integrating the manage- ment, ICT, economic and psychological aspects in managing human capital more effectively and efficiently, nationwide and worldwide.
Each participant will be charged RM475 and RM250 for students.
The fee includes all meals, transportation and a dinner by the State Government on the opening day.
