What is ?
foniks*PINTAR is a highly structured, systematic and phonics-based instructional program to help all children, with and without learning disabilities, to read and write in Bahasa Melayu. Its cumulative and repetitive structure and use of multi-sensorial activities have been shown in various literacy camps to enhance both reading and writing.
foniks*PINTAR builds the brain for literacy by employing current reading science research of the importance of listening, phonological awareness and vocabulary.
Target participants
Parents, teachers in kindergartens, preschools and primary schools, teacher-training institutes, education officers and other interested individuals
Aim of Workshop
The workshop will equip participants with the skills to help all emergent and struggling readers to learn to read and spell in Bahasa Melayu using a structured, systematic, phonics-based and multi-sensorial instructional program.
