Dalam dokumen NARRATIVE PROFILE (Halaman 45-48)

People must be adaptable to the complexity all around them given the 21st century's quick rate of development. In this day and age, learning is adjusting to the new. People who strive to adapt to this process should possess the essential 21st century skills to continue self-development, and the only way to accomplish this goal is through education. The successful completion of professional courses depends greatly on internship. As a result, it is also covered in teacher training curricula. It gives students firsthand exposure to the numerous responsibilities of a teacher, such as instructing and improving topic knowledge. Additionally, it offers a chance to apply theoretical understanding of instructional aids, methods, and strategies in a practical setting.

Today's definition of experiential education includes a wide range of possible activities, such as cooperative education programs, applied practical, academic service-learning, and internships. In the competitive economy of today, experience is more valuable than qualifications. The IFSU's student internship program overseas offers pre-service students a great opportunity to get valuable relevant work experience. The training program is dedicated to offering the best learning environment possible to support interns' growth and development over the course of the training months.

Along with evaluating the interns' progress on a regular basis and formally, IFSU also assesses the training program's components and overall scope on a frequent basis. It makes an effort to elicit data and feedback from interns that will enable the university to properly evaluate the training program and make sure that it is supplying the opportunities needed to develop the competence, multicultural competency, and professionalism necessary to transition from pre-service students into entry-level professional teachers.

The table below presents the level of satisfaction of the students towards their internship abroad.

The highest mean is 4 followed by 3.75 and the lowest is 3.25. All have presented the same description which is Strongly Agree. The average weighted mean of 3.88 indicates that the pre-service teachers strongly agree that the internship abroad program provides them with opportunities and experiences to develop their teaching skills. It also is a venue for them to grow as professionals and as individuals.

This further demonstrates that the university's internship abroad program is an excellent way to prepare pre-service teachers for improved career possibilities.

INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURES OF STUDENTS

The value of international exposure for students is at an all-time high since the boundaries between countries and continents are quickly blurring in many spheres. Students learn about the cultural, social, industrial, historical, and financial facets of other countries through international study visits, international internship programs, student exchange programs, and instruction from foreign teachers. IFSU facilitates and encourages students' exposure to the global community. Exposure to diversity helps students build their intercultural competency so they can get the most from the process of internationalization. In many respects, exposure to the world helps students break out of their shells, grow more confident, and widen their horizons.

Three education students took part in the JENESYS program, and an AYUMIN conference was attended by a BSE student. An assessment of their foreign exposure was carried out. A checklist was distributed to the four participants. Below is the tool used to asked the 4 participants:
