ANG MABUTING BALITA (Mt. 24:42-51)

Ang Mabuting Balita ng Panginoon ayon kay San Mateo

Kaya magbantay kayo sapagkat hindi ninyo alam ang araw ng pagdating ng inyong Panginoon. Isipin ninyo ito: kung alam ng may-ari ng bahay kung anong oras ng gabi darating ang magnanakaw, magbabantay siya at hindi niya pababayaang pasukin ang bahay. Kaya maging handa kayo sapagkat sa oras na hindi ninyo inaasahan darating ang Anak ng Tao. Isipin ninyo ito: may tapat at matalinong katulong at sa kanya ipinagkatiwala ng kanyang amo ang sambahayan nito para bigyan sila ng pagkain sa tamang oras. Kung sa pagdating ng kanyang amo ay matagpuan siya nitong tumutupad sa kanyang tungkulin, mapalad ang katulong na ito. Talagang sinasabi ko sa inyo na ipinagkakatiwala sa kanya ng amo ang lahat nitong ari-arian. Sa halip ay nag- iisip naman ang masamang katulong: ‘Magtatagal ang aking panginoon. Kaya’t sinimulan niyang pagmalupitan ang mga katulong na kasama niya samantalang nakikipagkainan at nakikipag-inumang kasama ng mga lasing. Ngunit darating ang panginoon ng katulong na iyon sa oras na di niya inaasahan at sa panahong di niya alam. Paaalisin niya ang katulong na ito at pakikitunguhang gaya ng mga mapagkunwari. Doon nga may iyakan at pagngangalit ng ngipin.

Pagninilay:

Sa ating buhay, ang pagtitiwala ay mahalaga sapagkat ang buhay mismo ay ipinagkatiwalang regalo ng Diyos sa atin.

Hindi natin angkin ang ating buhay ito’y hiram at maaari itong kunin sa atin sa oras na di natin inaasahan. Kaya, nawa’y ating suklian ang pagtitiwala ng Diyos ng responsibilidad at pasasalamat. At sa huli, sana tayo ay pagkatiwalaan Niya ng malalaki pang bagay, lalo’t higit ang Kanyang kaharian.

Panalangin:

Panginoon, turuan nyo kaming maging tapat na lingkod mo at tulungan kaming ingatan ang bigay mong buhay. Amen.

1. Commendation goes to everyone for participating well in all the activities prepared by the Filipino and Social Studies departments for the celebration of Buwan ng Wika and Kasaysayan.

2. Homeroom period of Grades 1-6 is extended until 9am today to give ample time for the election of class officers.

3. Everyone is reminded to follow the “Keep Right” rule whenever you transport from one place to another especially during break time. This is to facilitate a smooth flow of traffic along the corridors, ramps and stairways. Thanks to the GMs for intensifying this project once again. It is always gratifying to witness the whole community unites to achieve a certain goal.

Asian MathSci League, Inc. (AMSLI) is a non-stock non-profit organization of Math and Science enthusiasts registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission last April 2017. It has been incorporated with the following objectives:

1. To establish a world class academic organization aimed to develop and improve mathematics and science skills of Filipino teachers and students through mentoring, scholarships and various activities connected therewith;

2. To inculcate, promote, foster and develop interest and awareness among the Filipino teachers and students about international math and science activities such as competitions, educational programmes, enrichment workshops, conferences, courses and training programmes, exhibits and seminars and other related events;

3. To promote math and science competitions here in the Philippines and/or outside the country and develop and educate an understanding of global competitiveness;

4. To recognize and award outstanding students in mathematics and/or science;

5. To promote and encourage organized research and to disseminate the useful results of such research;

In line with this, we would like to invite Grades 3 to 10 students who are interested and would like to develop more their skills and potentials in Science. A second Batch of AMSLI-ASEP qualifying written exam will be on

September 22, 2018 at De La Salle Lipa. AMSLI-ASEP is charging a minimal fee of Php40.00 to cover the expenses for the testing materials.

Students who are interested, please register and give your payment to your respective GS/JHS Science teachers.

Details for the said exam will be posted in the next bulletin entry. For all 2018 VANDA medalists, you are all qualified for the ASEP Training. The training shall start immediately after the AMSLI-AMEP Training sometime in November, 2018. This means that AMEP Trainees may also enroll to ASEP.

Maligayang Pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika 2018: “Wika ng Saliksik”

Ang paggunita at pagtangkilik sa wikang Filipino ay hindi lamang dapat simulan at tapusin sa pagdiriwang ng buwan ng wika. Dapat ay araw-araw itong ipinagdiriwang upang araw-araw nating mapahalagahan ang ating identidad, ang ating pagiging Filipino. Tunghayan ang mga mahahalagang kaisipan tungkol sa wika na ipinahayag ni Virgilio S. Almario, National Artist sa kanyang sinulat na “Hinggil sa Wika” sa Washington D.C. noong ika-12 ng Hunyo 2018:

Sa Filipinas, ang pagdiriwang sa Buwan ng Wika taon-taon tuwing buwan ng Agosto ay dapat maging pagkakataon para sa atin upang gunitain ang nabanggit kong tunay na halaga ng wika sa buhay ng bawat Filipino: Isang instrumento ng pagkakaisa at pagkakaunawaan ang wika..

Para sa atin ngayon, ang Buwan ng Wika ay isang pagkakataon para balikan at pag-aralan ang naging pasya ng kumbensiyong konstitusyonal noong 1935 upang itadhana na isang katutubong wika ang Wikang Pambansa. Ang paghirang sa isang katutubong wika ay isang paraan ng pagdangal sa taal na malikhaing talino ng ating mga ninuno at ng higit na pagtitiwala sa sariling wika para isulong ang pambansang pagkakaisa at kaunlaran at para ipanlinang sa kailangang karunungan at edukasyon ng sambayanan. Sa kabilang dako, isang paraan din ito ng pagpapalaya mula sa ating nakamihasnang labis na pagsandig sa wikang banyaga upang lumikha ng kailangang pagbabago at magsaliksik at magsiyasat ng mga suliraning pansarili at panlipunan. Ang paggalang sa isang katutubong Wikang Pambansa ay pagpapahayag ng pagdakila natin sa ating sariling talino at kakayahan.

Ito ang sandigan ng ating pagsisikap na palaganapin at pagyamanin ang isang wikang pambansa na tinatawag natin ngayong

On MTAP

The MTAP Saturday Training for Regular Students will start this coming September 1, 2018; 7:30 – 12 noon at Lipa City National High School. DLSL students are requested to wear Type B uniform on the first day. Please be guided by this information.

How do I register for AMEP?

Registration is online. Simply click the link that will be provided, fill in all the required data then click check out when you are done.

During the registration you will have to choose your payment option. There are several choices of banks and Bayad centers.

Choose the one that is most convenient for you.

Please take note that for agencies requiring charges such as credit card companies, pal payments, etc., the charges will be added to your bill.

After checking out you will receive in your registered email the details of your transaction. You have 48 hours to make the payment for the required fees. Please follow given instructions in the email to complete your registration.

*** If onsite payment please fill up the form and attached the payment together with the picture and submit it to Ms.

Ernie Lein Saculo, Ms. Ma. Theresa Caya or Mr. Dennis Dimaala.( Deadline of submission is until Sept. 3, 2018)

What happens after the 10-Saturday training?

There will be a Recognition Day on January 2019. Those who successfully completed the training will receive Certificate of Participation. The top performers in the training, called AMEP Achievers, will be awarded medals and Certificate of Recognition. The qualified international contestants will also be announced.

The AMEP Achievers are required to attend the FREE 10-Saturday Send - off training scheduled April and May,2019.

International contestants must process travel documents such as visas and passports during this period.

The AMEP registration fee is Four Thousand Pesos (Php4,000.00) per trainee- Private School while (Php 3,500 for Public School), which includes payment for the following:

· 10-Saturdays of 3-hour intensive math training per session

· Training handouts

· AMSLI T-shirt

· Registration fee for WMTC Philippines

· Registration fee for Bebras Challenge

a. Please bee mindful of the deadline of submission of your college application forms. We will not extend the given deadlines as these were reminded to you during the previous days and during your assembly last August 6, 2018. Be prompt. Thank you.

b. On DCAT Application: For those who processed / applied on-line for DLSU-Manila and interested to take the admissions test at De La Salle Lipa, kindly coordinate with the Guidance Office for the re-processing of your application. Thank you.

FROM THE OVCM – STUDENT ACTIVITIES OFFICE:

1. On Gr. 7 SCB Campaign. We request our Homeroom Advisers and Subject Teachers to please accommodate our Gr. 7 SCB Candidates in your class for their short room to room campaign beginning today until September 4.

Please take note that the election shall be held on September 5 during Homeroom Period. Thank you very much.

2. On Club Day of JHS. The club day is scheduled tomorrow at the SENTRUM from 2:00-4:00PM. Movement in going to the SENTRUM is at 2:00PM. The floor area shall be occupied by our Grade 7 students while our Grade 8 students shall occupy the bleachers. Once again, we remind our Club Mod to please prepare a 2 – 3 min

presentation in proper coordination with Ms. Melissa. Thank you very much.

3. On List of Class Officers in JHS. We remind those classes thru the elected Class President who have not submitted yet the Class Officer’s Form to do so until today.

4. For Grade 5 and 6 Students ONLY. We are inviting our Grade 5 and 6 Dancers to audition at the SAO beginning today until Monday. Interested students may bring their preferred music and look for Ms. Melissa or Creselda at the SAO.

5. On Election of Class Officers in Grade School. Today we shall have the election of Class Officers in GS during the Homeroom Period. We request the elected Class President to forward the accomplished Class Officer’s Form at the SAO for record purposes. The following officers shall be elected:
