GOD’S WORDS FOR TODAY (Mt.25:31-46) The Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew,

Jesus said to his disciples, “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit upon his glorious throne, and all the nations will be assembled before him. And he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then the king will say to those on his right, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.” Then the righteous will answer him and say, “Lord when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you ill or in prison, and visit you?” And the King will say to them in reply, “Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one these least brothers of mine, you did for me… And these will go off… to eternal life.”

Reflection:

Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me. If we hurt our parents because of our disobedience and dishonesty, we are not only hurting our parents but also we hurt Jesus. It is true not only with our parents but also to everyone we encounter in this journey we called life. On the other hand, if we do good things to everyone we meet, it is the same thing and situation with Jesus. He lives in everyone’s life. In this season of lent, let us examine our relationships first and foremost with our own family, with our relatives and friends, with our neighbors, with the street children and beggars we see, with the poor and the oppressed. Let it be our resolution as One Lasallian Family to go out of our own shell and be Jesus to one another, thinking what is best for other people.

Prayer:

Let us pray…

Heavenly Father, help us to recognize your presence in our daily lives. May you be our inspiration to do good works today and for the days that will come. We ask this through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen…

St. John Baptist de La Salle…….Pray for us!

Live Jesus in our hearts………… Forever!

March 13-15 – 3rd Quarterly Assessments From the GS CLCE Department

Thank you so much to the Mass sponsors today . The following classes and advisers are requested to attend tomorrow:

Grade 6 BB 404 Ms. Margie Magnaye Grade 1 BB 111 Ms. Daniella Gutierrez Grade 5 BB 306 Ms. Magdalena Mayuga Grade 2 BG 114 Ms. Nerissa Hernandez What are the things to do for Lent?

The three pillars of Lent are prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.2 Did you know that you’re supposed to do all three? Did you know that you can do more than one thing in each category? Did you know that giving up regular Coke and only drinking Coke Zero, Diet Coke, and Caffeine-free Coke is a totally lame-o way to go?3

It’s a time to discern what the Lord is calling you to, what he wants you to be more detached from, what sin he’s calling you to abandon, how he wants you to lean on him and love his children. But it can be hard sometimes to come up with

something more fruitful than giving up soda, so here are some options.

Fasting is the most obvious. Even non-Catholics will ask you what you gave up for Lent. For some of us, Lent is an opportunity to root out some of the evil in our lives. Maybe it’s time to give one (or a few) of these sins up.

1. Gossip

2. Complaining–try accepting the cross you’re given instead of objecting that you’d rather choose your own.

3. Negativity

4. Laziness–try exercising for Lent 5. Arguing

6. Cursing

Or maybe there’s something good in your life that you’re too dependent on. Or even something good that is healthy for you but that you could offer to the Lord for 40 days. Fasting can help you grow spiritually in so many ways. (to be continued..) http://www.piercedhands.com/100-things-to-do-for-lent/

Cont…Rabies

How does rabies happen?

The rabies virus enters the body through a cut or scratch, or through mucous membranes (such as the lining of the mouth and eyes), and travels to the central nervous system. Once the infection is established in the brain, the virus travels down the nerves from the brain and multiplies in different organs.

The salivary glands are most important in the spread of rabies from one animal to another. When an infected animal bites another animal, the rabies virus is transmitted through the infected animal's saliva. Scratches by claws of rabid animals are

also dangerous because these animals lick their claws. to be cont…
