FINAL PROVISIONS

Filing a complaint under the Act shall not prevent the aggrieved party from pursuing other remedies available under the Act and invoking any of the provisions of the existing laws, particularly those recently enacted laws protecting women and children, including the Act of Women in Development and Nation Building. Incentives and awards – An incentives and awards system will be introduced which will be administered by a board in terms of the Rules and Regulations and standards that may be promulgated by the PCW. Provided that equivalent awards shall be given by the PCW to deserving entities, government agencies and local government units for their outstanding achievement and/or performance in upholding the rights of women and effective implementation of gender responsive programmes.
