Bay LGU Local Climate Change Program and Project Development for People’s Survival Fund (PSF)

This program aims to assist and guide the Bay, Laguna Sangguniang Bayan and municipal offices in the creation of its local climate change program technical working group, as well as the preparation of its project proposal to access the People’s Survival Fund (PSF). It also aims to help in the formulation of its Local Climate Change Action Plan (LCCAP), and in the formulation and implementation of its climate change action programs, projects and/or activities.

The UPLB Climate and Disaster Risks Studies Center (UPLB-CDRSC).
The Center, a university-wide, virtual interdisciplinary studies center on climate change and DRRM, is currently chaired by the the UPLB-CAS Dean Dr. Felino P. Lansigan. It has 26 technical members (23 UPLB faculty and 3 senior university researchers) representing the 9 colleges and 1 school of the university.
The engagement is initiated by the UPLB-CDRSC to provide technical assistance to the Bay LGU in developing and/or enhancing their local climate change adaptation programs with special focus on (1) helping/encouraging the said LGU to access the People's Survival Fund (PSF) by way of assisting them in their project development/preparation and the formation of their TWG/TWC on PSF Project Development, and (2) assisting the Bay LGU in the drafting/formulation of their LCCAP.
The UPLB-CDRSC is hosted by the UPLB School of Environmental Science and Management as its Secretariat.
