A bstract
The Virtual CCS System is an online classroom m anagem ent and social networking system. It is developed specifically for the College o f Computer Studies o f Central Philippine University. The system will address the unavailability o f an online system w herein instructors and students can effectively com m unicate with each other through posting o f college announcem ents, uploading, and dow nloading o f learning m aterials being distributed by instructors to their corresponding students in specific subjects; and online chatting feature for instructors and students to communicate more effectively in real time.
Students will be updated in and out o f the classroom giving them an online learning experience through a custom m ade easy-to-use graphical interface and for them to utilize the learning m aterials being posted or uploaded by instructors.
The developm ent o f the system used the Rapid A pplication Development (RAD) Model. System ’s developm ent consisted o f five phases namely the following: Planning, Analysis, Design, Im plem entation, and D eploym ent phase.
The proponents’ recommends for the further enhancem ent o f the system. The system must incorporate higher technology like using online stream ing o f real-time classroom environment, incorporating video and audio call capabilities, video streaming technologies, and other sim ilar technologies.
